A call to artists. SU for BCA
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a lovely October so far.
I’d like to gather your attention today for an important cause. Breast cancer awareness. As some of you may know, October (at least in Canada) is the official month for breast cancer awareness. No doubt many of us have been touched in some way or another by this disease. I myself am currently supporting my beloved mother in her battle against this terrible disease (her surgery is tomorrow in fact) and I am no stranger to the importance of regular check ups once the appropriate age has been reached.
So my proposition is as follows. If you are an artist in the community that would like to help raise awareness during this month of October please consider creating a piece highlighting the importance of check ups, sporting a message of support or incorporating the pink ribbon as a sing of solidarity.
One may even want to pick a pink SU character as a focal point to help strengthen solidarity (but anyone you like would be just fine). Someone like rose or even an original character.
If you do decide to take part in this campaign for awareness (first off thank you so much) please tag your post with #SUforBCA (Steven Universe for Breast Cancer Awareness) so that everyone can search for and see your piece and so that I can re-blog and personally thank you for taking part.
I hope this inspires some messages of hope and helps bring the community closer together in the pursuit of health, love and happiness.
