Summer in a Bowl The summer salad served at Sugar, the new cafe at Chelsea Bay is so gorgeous it was almost too beautiful to eat. It was composed of cauliflower (in 2 colours), crispy kale, peas, radish, purple carrot, zuchinni, maple, halloumi, all lit in a turmeric herb dressing. Uncle doesn’t do cakes but the surrounds by the waters of the Waitemata was so restful he was lulled into having a lemon and berry compote cake. No regrets there. You can have high tea and it’s almost time for it.
