      There’s a reason Batter saved Zone 3 for last.

      Sure, it makes sense to go in numerical order—1, 2, and finally 3—but that’s just an excuse he’s used to delay his encounter with the abnormally large guardian. Does he fear him? Why, of course not. Only someone as ignorant as Enoch would claim such a thing. No, it’s simply because Batter knows how powerful he is. Although strong in his own right, there’s no way he could have purified the man from the beginning despite being one of the more threatening guardians.

      He’s too self-aware for Batter’s liking. Disgusting.

      “You’ve done nothing but raise an entire population of addicts for your own gain,” he says, bat ready at his side. Batter speaks bluntly, not even bothering to put up an intimidating front. It would only waste time. “I highly doubt you have any justifiable defense for your impure actions.”
