I don't know if you are still active but I been playing this game called "Esoteric Ebb" that is bassically "disco Elysium meets dungeons and dragons" it's really good, had a LOT of neat fantasy lore as well as lots of political opinions, like any good disco-like should. And it has of course skills that talks to you, in this case the RPG classics: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. They parallel as well combine the roles of many of the DE skills. I think you might like it.

OOOOH i checked out the steam page and INSTANTLY got endeared to the skill checks, oh my goodness they're so silly… d&d is one of my latent interests, so this is really cool, AND YOU PLAY AS A KNIGHT(?) DUDE I FUCKING LOVE KNIGHTS LMAO <3 i should really check this out it looks very endearing!! thank you for the recommendation!! :D

SO we added a few songs by Airborne Toxic Event to the playlist recently (except for one of em which has been on there for a bit now iirc) and we'd love to hear what you think about them!! They are Sometime Around Midnight, Poor Isaac, Welcome to your Wedding Day, and Does This Mean You're Moving On!

I think our favourites of the four are Sometime Around Midnight and Poor Isaac. Sometime Around Midnight is just,, Beautiful and moving to listen to. They have an acoustic version too but while we adore acoustic covers of songs that one doesn't hit the same tbh (though it is also very good don't get me wrong HFJDJFJF) and Poor Isaac was our most listened to song in 2020 according to Spotify. I do assume that was the year of our Binding of Isaac special interest, because the song and game are both about the same thing pretty much and our TBOI fictives ADORE that song LMAO (in fact we have a lyricstuck for the song started deep in the depths of our computer... we should. Sit down and finish it someday. fhdhdjfj)

Sometime Around Midnight - BEAUTIFUL!! the sullen strings melody starting it off really sets the tone, the guitar melody is so pretty, i love how it all keeps amping up towards the repeated lyrics "You just have to see her, you just have to see her, you just have to see her!! ...you just have to see her..." so gorgeous and tragic wah, sounds like hazy reminiscing and blurry lights <33

Poor Isaac - FUN!! very fun, it sounds very spiteful, there's a ragtime kind of vibe with the piano, but there's a pointed intensity in all the lyrics and other instruments. real Hell's Comin' With Me vibes!! your 2020 top song waow!!! i can see why the TBOI fictives would like it with the title/lyrics hjlkgj (omg hell yeah lyricstucks!! we are ALL love lyricstucks :3!! i would not understand context, but i would still love to see if y'all finish it!)

Welcome to Your Wedding Day - a thing ive noticed with this band is that all their rhythms are REALLY GOOD, everytime there's a new beat for a song im just like "yeah!! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!" i really love how all the lyrics are sung here, "and you know it's begun, from the crack of the gun~!" and the crowd chant and defiant vibes, its so cool :D

Does This Mean You're Moving On - really solid guitar all throughout, love love love!!! again, such a fun melody with heartbreaking lyrics, like OOF OUGH. Sometime Around Midnight's fun, but still achingly lonely cousin :'] <33 such a bop, songs that make me wish they were longer hjglkj

Harpy Hare! HOLY SHIT THIS IS A REALLY GOOD SONG HKGJ, i love the echoing choir (the "haah haah ha-a-ah") while the guitar strums in. the children singing it, it's so haunting (have you seen the illustrations on youtube, i LOVE the vibes as a hand-clapping game with implications behind the lyrics) <33 youre so right i love the repetition, they hit on such good notes in this, this is lovely :3 the melody dying off briefly while they angrily sing the final "TELL ME SO I SAY!" OOOH the drama and melancholy are stellar <333

ooh!!! i absolutely understand where the reasoning comes from <33 this song feels like hozier's discography had a child who got stolen by the fae and turned into a changeling hgkjg. there's a more storyteller feel to it, more mythical. hozier tends to keep a foot in the realistic side, even while poetic. this song wraps it in metaphor and implication, like it's pretending its oblivious to the ominous vibe. a shot of straight whiskey VS cream and sugar in a cup of hemlock tea.

wow does that make sense? probably not i havent slept hjgjkjg ANYWAY!! incredibly good song, i agree!! i'll have to listen to the rest of their songs when i can, i love the folklore vibes :3

Cassius! oh my god it's so catchy, i listened to it a couple times last night and woke up to the lyrics on repeat in my head hgkjg it is really fun!! its got a kind of frantic energy to it hgjkg songs i would dance around to for sure!! you're SO right i love the guitar raughhh and the trumpety horn sounds really keep the energy up throughout the song :3 wah, thank you!! this is delightful!!

Sooo whenever you check the playlist you're gonna notice I added a Lot of Fall Out Boy to it. One song for each of their albums (... And a couple off a few EPs we loved as a teen). We're,, Kind of on a FOB kick right now, lol. Anywayyyy

You don't have to give us your opinions on all of those songs, but two specifically stand out to us that we wanna hear your thoughts on: You're Crashing, But You're No Wave, and Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year.

You're Crashing is our favourite off IOH and Sophomore Slump is our favourite off Corktree! Both are very important to us in their own ways—The chorus of You're Crashing is just... Wonderful. Very powerful sounding. The whole song has a powerful evocative energy to it but the chorus always gets us tbh. And Sophmore Slump is one of those songs that helped get us through highschool; the post-chorus and bridge mean the world to us. We misheard the final lyric in the post-chorus for a LONG while as "And I need to take a pill to make the sounds feel okay" which really aligned with how we experience synesthesia... We still prefer that lyric over the actual lyric, lmao.

HI CYGNUS!! i did see the Fall Out Boy additions!! i really love the sparse fob songs i know, but i don't actually go out of my way to explore their discography more closely, so it's delightful to listen to other ones, especially ones that are important to y'all!! :3

You're Crashing, But You're No Wave - REALLY LOVE THE GUITAR IN THIS!!! (<- always as expected for FOB hgkjg) i love how solemn but strong it is, how so many of the lyrics are sung :0 "THE VERDICT FALLS LIKE BACH-E-LORS FOR BAD LUCK GIRLS!" is sung so quick, and oooh the fuckin chorus :'0 baby boy can't lift his headache head~ :'] the choir rising on "Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty~" this is a real funeral of a trial, a damnation. goddamn, really good!! :D

Sophomore Slump Or Comeback of the Year - something about this song sounds really classic boyband, im really fond of the vibe hfkjg YEAH, sometimes you mishear the lyric but its more meaningful anyway, so now that lyric is yours. they said "i hope you sing along and steal a line" and guess what, y'all did it, that's your line now!! /silly :3 hdgkjg im glad it helped y'all through high school, with the vibes of like, "are we growing up or just going down" i think that'd be relatable to high school me too hgkj <33 <22

hi voli, you should go check out Mili, they're a pretty good (indie) band with several good songs! my faves are RTRT, Gone Angels and In Hell We Live, Lament

their music style is pretty diverse from what i've listened (a few songs), but still please go check them out!!!!

oooh!! hello anon! thank you for the recommendations!! :D due to my background in project sekai, my first impressions are very "oh shit this would be SICK as a rhythm game chart" hjglkj the singer's voice is so cute!! from what ive seen, i think a lot of their songs are made for games? :0 thats so interesting!!

RTRT is fun, the melody is so cute, the quick rise and fall of the synths :3!! Gone Angels, ooo i think the classical tones for this one is so pretty, very chill throughout :]!! the singer has a specific way of emphasizing different syllables. In Hell We Live, Lament, the duet and how they counter and harmonize with each other, so pretty!! i love when lyrics layer like that, my favorite of the bunch!! :D
