For those new to the series, this AU is set in present-day Pittsburgh, where Jack Abbot is a veteran police sergeant whose life is forever changed the day he grabs lunch at a Squirrel Hill deli, Robby’s Smoked Meat. Abbot is immediately smitten with the deli's proprietor, Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, who proves every bit as seasoned and unique as the sandwiches he serves.

Hucklerobby do have moments unique to them. Whitaker is the one who finds Robby alone in peds after his breakdown, sees him at his most vulnerable and manages to pull him back when nobody else can even find him. Robby chooses Whitaker to house sit for him after saying he’d considered asking Abbot. He’s inviting him into his private life and trusting him with his home over his closest friend. I’m not saying they are being set up as a romantic storyline ofc but Whitaker does have a unique place in Robby’s arc.

ATP I think you’re purposefully misinterpreting what is written? I’m not talking literal scenes lol. I’m talking about what the bond offers. Sure, Dennis pulls him back and comforts him when he’s having a hard go of it- but Abbot did that too. He also has moments where he’s comforted by Duke. Sure, he trusts Dennis with his house but he asked because he knows Dennis is looking for his own place. Yes, he is fond of him but seriously saying he’s the only one Robby trusts like that is disingenuous.
