That scene with the fishwives is truly devastating. It's tinged by the hurt, the pain and the betrayal they both feel. And yet they both have a feeling that it might be the last time they'll see each other in this life. Moiraine knows she's walking to her death and Suian knows she's walking into battle at the tower. But they don't burden each other with their personal worries. There is so much left unsaid, but maybe it's better that way. Maybe it'll be easier for the other when the final blow comes. They find one last moment of comfort, of solace before they brace themselves to go on the hardest part of their journeys, alone.
