Venetian life #14. Fishing in Bacino St Mark.

This is how people in Venice spent their time on Sunday. There are no more big crouise since february. It means that the Giudecca's Canal is quiet. I've tried to listen to the people fishing, some should be originary from Bangladesh. I like this new form or sunday freetime in Venice. Normally the street is full of tourists.

Four years ago we choose to stay in that house for that window. I always dreamt of a beautiful window from where you can watch and peep life rolling under your eyes. Yes, probably because I loved "Blue in the Face" and "Smoke" because I love serial projects where you feel that something is happening and growing under your eyes because after a while you can read what is anonymous for the others, especially when life looks repetitive when you record a hidden sign of life, sometimes a beauty, unpredictably. This afternoon my window gave me a positive message, one neighbor is listening to Bob Marley, another one is at the window catching the sun. From Venice a peaceful message (probably banal, but I want to be banal!) after a few stressful days of a crazy helicopter - One love, One heart Let's get together and feel all right...
