Excuse me while I drop to my knees in relief and rejoice in this Darvey bliss: goddamn it, we deserve it! it was pure fanfic come true and this has been 9 seasons in the making! I can’t even think straight to post about it. I will calm down (or maybe I won’t) and write a review that’s not total fangirling eventually but allow me for now:
We got intimacy and phone calls and work fights and Donna being the Harvey whisperer and sappy Harvey, all in one episode. What did we do to deserve this? We waited YEARS!!!! That’s what we did.
I mean, when in my life did I think I was gonna see Harvey “That doesn’t mean anything” Specter meaning to say every word he said to her? When did I think I’d watch Harvey “ I have everything” Specter saying he won and felt empty because she wasn’t there? And how many times he reassured her of his feelings (frankly we needed to hear it over and over as much as Donna)?
The scene in Mike’s apartment was a gift to mend my broken heart, it already feels like they’ve been together for years and I still can’t believe what I heard from his mouth. Who is this changed man? 😂
My favorite?
“What did you tell him?”
“What did you tell Rachel?”
“That you were better the first time”
“Good, because that’s exactly what I told Mike about you.”
“No you didn’t. And Neither did I because you weren’t. Because more vigorous isn’t necessarily better.”
“Neither is younger.”
I MISSED THIS!!! They are at their best and that’s EXACTLY what I wanted! And similar to how I wrote it.
