Neither Sulaya nor Elreia have ever really experienced heartbreak. Sulaya's only other relationship was with Dragonlord Kethaniae, and they still remain close. Elreia, while very open and free with her affection, never really got attached enough to her partners to feel heartbroken when they moved on, at least until she met her current partners, Aleanii and Qirina.
Elreia handles physical wounds well. She's both a war priest and a zealot, so she can take a hit, and heal the damage afterward. Physical harm doesn't tend to faze her. Mental and emotional wounds, however, still pose a threat: she's never really recovered from the death of her mother during a Shevarashan raid, and when she sees a Black Archer cleric, she tends to rush blindly ahead, fueled by rage and pain rather than reason and strategy.
Sulaya is next to impossible to defeat with physical wounds. Her aeonic powers grant her functionally infinite vitality, and even in the case that her body is destroyed, she can just reform a new one. Physical pain can still debilitate and overcome her even as her body repairs the damage, so she makes an effort to avoid it. Mental and emotion assaults are also dangerous, since they are some of the only ways to actually harm one of her kind.
