character in general: Derek Hale is a muffin. Okay? Maybe a little charred, definitely over cooked, but he’s a mother fucking muffin. Okay? Probably like cinnamon apple or somethinghow they play them: I honestly don’t know much about your characterization but a cursory glance at the bio and such shows you’re doing a fab jobthe mun: Hi, I don’t know you, I’m Fiona. What’s up?

So, for some reason Derek had returned to Beacon Hills, Lydia, at the current point in time, did not know what brought the mountain of a wolf man back into their crazy little home town. That wasn’t to say she wasn’t horribly happy about it- or relieved. Derek’s mere presence alone usually made the things that had happened in their lives so much easier. Why? Because he always taught them things. Taught them what was going on in the supernatural because they were all, always, so clueless. Taught them how to deal with the hardships in life and how to deal with loss without even realizing it because he too had suffered great loss and great hardships. Derek was a mentor to all of them, even if he refused to believe it most of the time. So of course she was over the moon that he was back- for how long? She had no idea. She hoped, prayed that he was moving back, because with how things were going it seemed they could only get worse and worse and worse! And Derek was a born wolf, they could use a born wolf, one who knew about basically all things.

But the downside to his return was that he had no idea what was going on. Not one of them had really contacted him in a long time, especially with everything that had been going on, there just hadn’t been enough time for them to reach out to their old mentor. Lydia wished he had been here. Derek probably would’ve saw right through Theo’s lies. He probably could’ve prevented Scott from getting killed. She probably wouldn’t have gotten literally driven out of her mind. Odds are she wouldn’t have been put in Eichen house.. A lot of things likely wouldn’t have happened because of Derek. He had that effect. Except of course when he thought she was a Kanima.. That was a bad judgement call on his half. 

“So,” Lydia started the conversation. They’d run into each other at a gas station, Lydia had finished gassing up her car when he rolled in. Now they were standing by the pumps, chitchatting. “What was it that brought you back here? Catch wind of all the chaos and death that had surrounded the city?”

character in general: So I stopped watching Teen Wolf around the quarter-way mark in season 4, but I liked Derek. Not as much as I liked Stiles, but I liked him all the same. He had so much shit go on, and I just-- I still kinda wanna hug him, but at the same time, he’s the mysterious manly mountain man of mystery, and he still kinda scares me at times. So. Ye.how they play them: Beautifully??? Like, we don’t RP as much between Jan and Derek bUT I REALLY LOVE THIS PORTRAYAL OKAY.the mun: I love you so much, man, like-- i’m so glad we followed each other with Janet and Dean first and then I followed Derek and just--- NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO, BLOG-WISE, I WILL FIND YOU BC ILY.

I mean, he scares her, and she also asked him who peed in his cheerios bc of his attitude, so I mean--- [ more shrugging noises ]
