“I’m an idiot...I’m so sorry Serenity. I didn’t mean that..” He sincerely apologizes. She gives him a small smile.
“It’s alright, Vihaan,” she tells him.
He shakes his head in shame, “No, it’s not,” he glances at her, “I love you, Serenity...and I’d love to get to know Maximus, but..I don’t think I'm ready for something..as big as this..at least not right now.”
She puts her hand on his shoulder, “I understand..trust me, I still don’t think I can do this, but I have to. I don’t have to drag you with me though..” He looks at her.
“...are you suggesting we break up..?”
“Weren’t you?” They ask each other. He sighs nodding.
“I suppose I was..” He says trying not to well up.
“We can still be friends..” She tells him, he nods.
After he left, she felt a weird feeling..a feeling of weight being lifted from her chest. Once he left, she called over a friend of hers..Lukas Rosen.
Even though they dated each other and believed they loved each other, there was definitely someone else in the back of their minds.
