[OD] Sunset to Sundown - Dylas and Leia

It was nice to see everything returning to semi-normalcy on the beach finally. Leia wasn’t sure what had happened with the water guns, but everyone had started acting so weird, and she had lost track of all of her friends - as well as her date.

Thank goddess they’d already made plans to meet up for sunset. The mermaid had made her way over to one of the vendors and gotten them two things of shaved ice, not sure if he’d even like it, but on a hot day, Leia thought it might be a good thing to munch on while they waited for the other swimmers to take off and head home. 

Back to a quieter area of the beach, where she’d found him earlier, Leia set the two bowls of shaved iced on the sand before setting her messenger bag on the ground and pulled out a towel for them to sit on. 

Not sure which flavor her date would prefer, Leia set the cup of lime and blue-raspberry ice in front of her and then smiled gently as she stared out into the sea, her green hair blowing with the summer breeze, her cheeks lightly flushed from all of the sun she’d gotten. It’d been an interesting day, and she was happy she’d gotten to spend most of it with Dally. It seemed like they were growing closer lately, and the thought made her smile all the more as she watched the sky start changing its colours.

Chef Leia had decided to set up a meeting with her two friends and staff members so they could toss around some ideas. To Be An Univir || Kuruna & Dylas

   It had been only a few days since Kuruna had met Dylas, the horse man, and she had already begun her research at the library. She told him to write her if he wanted to find out more, but she had grown too curious to wait. She had been in the library for almost an hour. They didn’t have much on non-human subjects. Probably so their children don’t know how many they have slaughtered. She found one book on ‘beasts’. She was willing to bet it was about how dangerous they are. Flipping through the pages she saw something that caught her eye. Quickly finding the page she saw an....Univir? And, not only that it was someone familiar. Dylas. I knew it.

  Kuruna picked up the book and went to check it out, but someone was already talking to the librarian. Of course, it was Dylas.

Welcome Newbie | Dylas & Karen

Today was not Karen’s day. Not only had someone bumped into her, spilling their coffee all over her shirt right before getting to work she had a pounding headache and a bad night’s sleep. Her shift was about to start and she didn’t have time to run back home. 

Walking into the restaurant she hoped that their was an extra shirt lying around somewhere. She didn’t get too far before her employer pulled her aside to tell her about the new hire. Karen did all she could not to roll her eyes. Perfect, she thought, an even bigger headache. She told her boss it was no problem as long as she got a decent shirt. He directed her to the back where they had old uniforms. 

After finding one two times her size Karen was ready to start her work shift and meet the new guy. Heading over to the window where the ready food is set, Karen met up with her boss and a blue haired man. 

“Hey,” she said with less enthusiasm and friendliness than intended, “I’m Karen. This your first time serving?”

"H-Here." He mumbled and held out a flier towards the woman," S-Seems they have a good selection of furniture or something there, maybe a sale. I-If you want, y-you can keep this to check it out sometime."

“Hm?”

No matter what time of the day it was– Raven always hated to be pestered by annoying salesmen. But this particular man seemed to be awfully nervous, like this was his first time trying to sell something. Either they were desperate for employees or they think emotional manipulation will work, Raven thinks, stone-faced. 

But… a sale for furniture? And maybe this was his first time at work. Raven thought back to her first days working at a cafe, and despite the great job she had done, she was a nervous wreck as well. “I’ll think about it,” she said, taking the flier.
