Last month (July) my family and I took a trip to California for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. The San Diego zoo is where we were heading for her actual birthday. Though we took many photos, the photos pictured here were all taken on the trip back. The first 3 photos were at the Sultan Sea. Though it might not look like much to those who haven’t been there, the photo of the birds over the water was probably my favorite to experience. I tried to fix my eyes on the horizon many times and it just didn’t happen. For miles the water blended with the horizon and beach littered with dead fish and barnacles making it very difficult to gauge distance. 

The last 3 photos were in Arizona somewhere if i remember correctly. East of Blythe maybe? Like many other photographers, there is something about abandon places that I enjoy so much. Aside from photographing them, I like to imagine a time when they were very much alive.
