On the birth anniversary of Sumitranandan Pant ji — Jnanpith winner, Chhayavaad pioneer, author of Chidambara — I bow a hundred times. 🙏

But also thinking about Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore.

Not a poet. But a protector. Olympic silver medalist. Soldier. Inspiration.

Because the land that gifted us Pant’s verses also gifted us Rathore’s aim. One saw God in dewdrops 🌿 One saw duty through a scope 🎯

Both refused to break. Both made India proud.

So today — a hundred salutations to the poet of the stars 🖋️ and a standing ovation to the soldier of the target 🥇

Same sky. Different stars. Both shining bright.
