FIRST SUMMARY OF CLOSE UP W/ RENEE PAQUETTE & CHUCK *RE: Chuck's Injury The injury with Chuck happened on his last match (in-ring) on Rampage in October. He goes in describing how someone fell on it and it was Chuck's fault, not the other guy. When he went to the doctor, they believed it was a bruised talus and some ligament damage. Originally thought he could rehab it and be okay. Chuck did rehab but unfortunately it didn't get better and he went back to the doctor and they said he'd need surgery. --- --- --- Later into the video, he does mention how he can get surgery and once he heals from that, hopefully reassess. Chuck is keeping hope that one day he might be able to return, just like the many others who were hit with injuries that were career ending. So his career in-ring is just on a pause right now. There is a possibility he might get to return one day! He has no pain, it doesn't hurt much and he's able to walk fine. He wears the ankle brace/support everyday which helps him. If the parking lot match was the last one ever, he couldn't ask for a better ending. Fighting with Trent, having Orange involved and Kris too. Getting to finally say "shit" on tv and getting his dog on tv. He's been working backstage helping produce and loves it. He would also love to be a manager or on commentary! <3 As for surgery, it's not planned yet. He's waiting until after summer. He wants to get more comfortable producing and doing things backstage. He doesn't want to learn a bit and then leave for time and come back to it.
