Another Comic Strip I have rewritten. I took two comic strips about Archie Andrews going skinny-dipping and made them into one.
Appetizer Idea: Slow Cooker Corn & Jalapeño Dip
This might just be the easiest dip ever! Just toss the ingredients in your slow cooker and it all comes together in about 2 hours. Pairs well with a crisp summer lager.
6 servings Preparation time: 2 hours 25 minutes
Ingredients
4 slices bacon, diced, plus more for topping, if desired
3 cups sweet corn, roasted/grilled and removed from cob (about 4 – 6 cobs)
2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
½ cup sour cream
1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
2 tablespoons chopped chives (optional, for topping)
Directions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook until brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate; set aside.
Place corn, jalapeños, sour cream, Pepper Jack and Parmesan into a slow cooker; season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined. Top with cream cheese.
Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
Uncover and stir until cream cheese is well combined. Cover and cook on high heat for an additional 15 minutes.
Garnish with bacon and chives, if desired. Serve immediately.

Perfectly Padre Seven Layer Dip
A healthier take on your favorite Tex-Mex dip! Guacamole, Greek yogurt, black beans and a superfood boost from moringa powder turn this dip into a delicious nutritional powerhouse.
6-8 servings Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
2 teaspoons moringa powder (optional) 14 ounces L&B Guacamole 1 (15.4-ounce) can Amy's Organic Black Refried Beans 1 ½ cups Greek Gods Traditional Plain Yogurt 1 cup L&B Tangy Tomatillo Verde Salsa 12 ounces L&B Pico de Gallo, divided 2 cups organic baby arugula, chopped ¼ cup scallions, thinly sliced
Directions
Mix moringa powder into L&B Guacamole.
Using a strainer, drain extra liquid from the pico de gallo and discard.
In an 8x11 dish, layer ingredients in the following order:
Black refried beans
Greek yogurt
Salsa
Guacamole
⅔ of the pico de gallo
Baby arugula
Remaining ⅓ pico de gallo
Scallions
Sun-Dried Tomato Dip
Serve this easy, tangy dip with baked tortilla chips and crackers or use it as a spread on sandwiches. A delicious way to class up a grilled cheese sandwich! Pairs well with Syrah.
Makes 1 cup (about 8 servings) Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients ¼ cup drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes ¼ cup chopped drained roasted red bell peppers ½ cup chopped walnuts, toasted 1 tablespoon chopped shallot 1 ½ tablespoons red wine vinegar Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste ⅛ cup olive oil
Directions
Place tomatoes, bell peppers, walnuts, shallot, vinegar, salt, pepper, olive oil and 2 tablespoons of water in a high-speed blender or food processor.
Purée until all ingredients are incorporated together.
Appetizer idea: Avocado Bacon Dip
This creamy dip takes guacamole to the next level! Pairs well with Bell's Oberon Ale.
Makes 1 ½ cups Preparation time: 30 minutes, including time to cook bacon
Ingredients
2 ripe avocados, pitted, peeled, chopped
½ cup sour cream
6 slices applewood bacon, cooked, drained, crumbled
3 tablespoons sliced green onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Tortilla chips, for serving
Directions
In medium bowl, combine avocado and sour cream.
Using a fork, mash avocado to desired consistency.
Stir in bacon, green onion, garlic and lime juice.
Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with tortilla chips for dipping.

Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, drained
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ pound (4 ounces) smoked salmon, minced
Directions
Cream the cheese in an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment until just smooth.
Add the sour cream, lemon juice, dill, horseradish, salt and pepper, and mix.
Add the smoked salmon and mix well.
Chill and serve with crudites and/or crackers.
