Sing Me Out The Window
Album of the Week
16 - 22 Nov., ‘25
Björk could be seen as one of the most important modern pop musicians thanks to the fact we are still dealing with the varied repercussions of her discography. I already spoke of that, yet still – her influence on Iceland cannot be overstated. I would claim both of her musical careers, solo and with Sugarcubes, established the country as a place to find many intriguing musicians. Of course, a question remains – how much did her style describe Iceland and how much did her own opus influenced her fellow country players to go there? Múm, for instance, are one of the weirdest post-rock bands. Sure, the genre can be seen as strange, but they make that even stranger with their soundscapes Björk wishes she could be a part of.
