Summer 10x10

If you’re not familiar with a 10x10 challenge, it’s basically this:  pick 10 items of clothing to wear for 10 days.  If you want to see some of my past season experiments with this challenge, click here.  You can also check out tons of inspiration from Lee, Jaana, Andrea, Paige, Caroline, Karin, Laura, and so many more on Instagram.

For my summer 10x10, I’m including a lot of pieces I wore this week, but they’re also pieces I’m excited to wear more.  My early experimenting is already inspiring me to take it further.  As with my #spring10x10, I’m going to treat jackets as accessories, because I’m expecting some high temps, and while I might want an extra layer for mornings and office AC, I don’t know if I’ll actually need one most days.  The only real rule I held myself to here was to not include my white jeans or my denim culottes--because I have included both already in two 10x10 challenges.  Because I haven’t gotten too much wear out my Clydes this season yet, it’ll be nice to have access to those as bottoms.  I’m excited to have one-pieces in my 10 items, although it may be a bit of a risk to include two of them.  To be honest, I did a quick “rough plan” of outfits just to be sure I can make this work.  

This very much feels like a set of “old favorites,” even though it contains a few new-this-season pieces--I already feel very at home in my jeans, yellow tee, and jumpsuit.  So that said, my goal is to get creative with styling tricks over these 10 days.

Mighty Mystic Lends Guest Vocals on Jason Derulo “Cheyenne” Remix

Jason Derulo’s has been bouncing up and down the Billboard charts with his hits “Want To Want Me” and “Cheyenne,” both new wavey jams. DJ Serg gave it the dancehall treatment for XMiX. Boston reggae artist Mighty Mystic lends his vocal talents, adding life to an already well-crafted pop tune. If you dig the track, you can download it here.
