I didn't realise deltarune 5 was out today. Feels weird because. I haven't completed the titan fight in chapter 4 and can't go forward yet. I was hoping to get better at the game- beat jevil (done) beat spamton (not done) and like. Try to get some decent savefiles going to overwrite my bad one where I kept failing to beat the titan.

And i've got those savefiles in progress. But all have stalled out in chapter 2 because again haven't beat spamton in either weird route or normal route.

Not like ive been really trying these past few months. Last time i played i was still living with my parents.

Maybe the interest will come back and ill get through to chapter 5. Maybe. But i might just get stalled out at the titan again- my main problem last time was- it didn't matter how many heals i brought to the fight, I kept getting hit. So the mercy chests after failing were actually useless- didn't have inventpry space.

I still think the worst bit of the titan fight is there's no save point right before it. So if you fail, turn off the game to do something else, you need to get back to the titan again. It's just frustrating.

But mostly im frustrated with myself. I've never been good at bullet hells. Even simple ones like Undertale and Deltarune. And now I have to avoid spoilers due to nothing more than incompetance and laziness.

So I got back from seeing DIgital Circus in cinemas and spoilers under the cut.

Mostly these are gonna be disconnected thoughts cause I'm lazy.

*after seeing the scene where he implies Gangle wants to sleep with him in his mind prison* Wow Jax is just. Such a misogynistic bastard. Kinda glad he abstracted tbh. Like it's nothing NEW that he's an asshole but man that was a new low.

*after seeing the ribbit scene.* REALLY glad he abstracted tbh. Poor Ribbit tried her fucking best with him but he just couldn't handle having human emotions and trusting people in the slightest and self sabotaged so hard that he drove another person crazy.

I know it sounds like I hate he's guts but I like how he's such a bastard even if in real life I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Sometimes shitastic characters have a purpose and Jax. Fits his purpose really really well. He's meant to make you mad.

He's also meant to show you the humanity in such people. And he does a pretty good job. About as good as catra tbh. Pomni and Jax are just basically straight catradora lmao.

I saw criticism dueing that big wave of people hating on gooseworx where someone was like "Jax abstracting made him the only human in the show" and. That's a really uncharitable read. Were we watching the same finale? Gangle, Zooble, and Ragatha didn't get as much focus as him. But it was clear- compare them to the start of the series, they'd developed a LOT.

It was sweet seeing Caine come back, learning to understand the residents a bit better. And seeing the slideshow of who they really are, and how they're doing out there was really good too.

It gives a whole new meaning to the spudseys episode hearing about "after recovering from her injuries" like it was always implied gangle got hit by a truck but I didn't think it'd be confirmed. Figured it'd just stay fanon.

It was really neat seeing Pomni and Kinger interact more, and seeing him teach her a bit of how to manipulate the enviroment. Also neat to see how they nearly got the circus back to full colour by the time Caine showed back up.

And it was really sweet seeing Pomni and Ragatha. Like admitting to be best friends and stuff. Absolutely adorable.

I know Glitch said this series isn't for kids. But my little sister had fun watching with us. There wasn't much stuff that was innopropriate for her, and while yeah thete's stuff she can't understand properly right now like the deeper themes, I don't think that should stop kids from exploring deeper media. Even if they have to revisit in a few years to find context they missed- what they *do* learn from deeper media can help them grow. I hope she learns a bit about how to not sabotage her relationships with friends from Jax's bad example, for example.

God Gangle and Zooble were just. So cute together. It looked dicey for a bit after 7 finished, but was really nice to see towards the end. I love these two.

Honestly, really good finale. Absolute blast to watch.

Today i get to go see the amazing digital corcus movie with my sister but honestly the highlight of my day has already happened hearing from a neighbours speakers ed shearan belting out to no scrubs.

Anyway I struggled a while with my assessments for my course- had to take a second attempt on like 3 in a row, had to ask for an extension on the latest assessment. However, the latest assessment i did well on the observation despite having missed a bunch of class sue to illness. And then did well on the practical- getting a satisfactory grade first try.

So. Maybe things are turning around?

Actually yeah update on writing thats why i opened this app orz.

I've written 6 chapters since starting hiatus on Is It Really A Birthday. And I've got 18 to go, before it's complete and dunzo. (Not counting later chapters that are already written.)

And. I dont know whether to write 6 more chapters, release. Another hiatus to finish the rest. Then complete the story. Or write the remaining 18, then post consistently until the whole thing is released.

Pros of 6 more chapters before posting- motivation from knowing people read them, that might help me get out of my funk. Maybe. Also if I DO tap out early, more of the fic is released. Cons are- less able to edit according to what happens in later chapters. Could cause problems like that.

Pros of finishing the whole 18- finished story. Not stressed when releasing it. Able to edit everything properly. In theory make it perfect. Cons are- wow 18 chapters are a LOT of chapters and motivation is finite. This could take me another year or more and is anyone gonna care in a year? Or two? Am I gonna care?

Blah.

I just need to get more dedicated to writing again. Need to focus on that more, and on playing sims 2 less. Make writing one of my three priorities again orz.

Anyway I've had a really Turkish March Owata kind of day.

I went to my brothers church to see him get baptised. Hes upset about it because he couldn't do communion afterwards, despite being baptised, and feels rejected. Which i can't fix.

This baptism was on the same day as 1 easter and 2 dance class. But dance was after baptism, and in the same area. Ao i figured id catch a bus after seeing him get baptised, and giving easter eggs to my family (who were also there for it.)

Thats where the problems begin. I got a little lost on the way to the bus station. Took longer than expected. And it was important i get there early, so i could change into dance clothes. I check my go card hanging off my bag on the way there- still there. On a set of stairs i hear a clunk, turn, see nothing, continue on.

Get to the bus like a minute later- no go card. No problem i have a visa. Use that to pay. Drop it when the bus rolls forwards. Think it goes into my bag- can't see it on floor. Get bag find seat look in bag. No visa. Take everything out of bag in a panic. Still no visa. Look on floor of the bus while its moving. Still no visa.

I get off the bus while crying and sobbing earlier than dance class- because i need to walk back and find my visa.

Walk back. No go card on stairs. No visa at bus stop (my guess was it fell out the open doors.) No way to catch bus to dance- which i would have been late for anyway, and was in no state to attend. Luckily, I was able to walk back to church and pick up my car (left it there because no parking in the city.) So i was able to get home. I was also able to cancel my visa on the bank app.

But man. What an absolutely shitastic day. Everything that could go wrong, did.

All i wanted to do was go to dance class AND support my brother. Literally nothing worked out today. I can't believe i lost two different cards within a minute. The people on the bus and street probably thought i was on drugs or something.

Ah well. Least i got chocolate.
