Happy Nameday to two of my men!
Can't believe it's been another year. My horishi, Yuu Fujimoto, just turned 47 (and his daughter Lyra turned 12 in May) and Sun Hyeon, Kuro's adoptive father, is now 68.

Katsuro learned the rudimentary of the Amalj’aa language from the Brotherhood of Ash when he lived as a refugee outside the walls of Ul’dah for nearly 15 years. As years passed and his bond of friendship with this group grew, he was eventually gifted a female fire drake, which he named Kaida - or Little Dragon, in the Hingan tongue.
Thanos, like many of the males in the Caius family line, is affected by premature canities. It gave a false impression on his age for many years, as it turned his natural sandy blond hair to a silvery white before the age of twenty.
Unlike most descendants of the Mitsuhide clan who favors the element of fire, Yuu’s source of power reside in water. Upon both arms, he was tattooed with the Hingan waves and the dragon god Shén Long. The waves symbolize strength and life through art. It also signify the natural ebb and flow of day-to-day life.
Hyeon willingly left the ‘peace’ of Hingashi when he heard boats full of refugees from Doma were to attempt crossing the sea after being refused help everywhere else. With his bit of medical knowledge from helping in hospitals throughout his life, paired with his above average education as a Man of Letters, he hoped to be of help to the refugees both for the voyage and once they (hopefully) found asylum in new lands. Little did he knew that he’d end up the adoptive father of a young man named Katsuro.

Happy Nameday to two of my OC! Sun Hyeon turned 67 and Yuu Fujimoto 46. It was totally random that those two got the same birthday as I merely look at my OC and a date pop in my head usually. So who knows. Maybe it wasn’t such a coincidence after all? dun dun dun
Sun Hyeon by Mattie7 Thank you so much! ♥
Prompt 18
[Sun Hyeon | Flowers] Sun Hyeon had always been fascinated by nature. An enduring cycle of death and rebirth, of ends and new beginnings. As a man of letters with a liking for ink painting and interest in botany, he’d spend many bells, even days, reproducing nature on thin sheets of rice paper. However, it would only be many, many Twelvesmoons before he’d get the chance of tending to a garden of his own. Now that this was reality, he could only smile at the many species of plants and flowers he’d managed to grow, some not even native to Thanalan. He recalled a moment; a young girl and her mother, visitors of the spa. They’d climbed to the top floor where the garden was situated and Hyeon was there, busy tending to the flowers. A few had wilted on a particularly hot day and the girl approached him with the curiosity of youth. “Are the flowers sick? Or maybe they’re sad?” That had the old man chuckling of course. Wasn’t she just adorable. “They’ll be fine, child. They’re not sick, just a bit thirsty. But why do you think they might be sad? Is this place not to their liking you think?” The little girl looked around, to the plants all vibrant and the flowers so colorful. There were even birds singing overhead. Probably reevaluating her previous assessment, she shook her head. “Nuh-uh. I don’t think they’re sad now. This place is pretty! What happens if you are not there to give them water? Do the pretty flowers all die?” She was genuinely concerned and it warmed this old man’s heart. He smiled as he kneeled beside her, offering the child the watering can. “I’m not alone to care for them. For instance, today there’s you. This garden may be my creation, it now belongs to everyone. So, care to help out the pretty flowers today? It’s very hot outside and I think they’ll be very happy to have a refreshing cup of water.” The girl was too happy to oblige, sprinkling water on the flowers, or at least as far as her small arms could reach. Once done, she handed the watering can back to Hyeon before running back towards her mother, all proud of the part she had played in helping the pretty flowers. “If you ever visit the spa on another day, come by the garden and see how the flowers fare. I’m sure they’ll be happy to see you again, child.” Hyeon exchanged a smile with the girl’s mother who offered a bow in thanks for indulging her daughter’s curiosity. “I’m sure that can be arranged.” She said, which had the little girl jump in excitement. And soon they were gone, probably aiming for a relaxing time in the baths.
