heyy i've been going through your /tagged/witchy page bc i've been thinking of getting into it all but i know literally nothing about spells or anything besides a notion of the aesthetic so do you have any tips for beginners? also my family sells herbs so if u wanna know the symbolism/effect on humans of any of them i can let u know, bc i've seen that's a bit related to spells *finger guns*

Hey friend!I’m so sorry, I just got your message - I’ve been traveling and haven’t been near my laptop in days. Okay, so beginner things… as a semi-beginner/intermediate witch myself, my main thing would be research, research, research. Read everything you can get your hands on. Try out everything that seems interesting (but… like, lowkey, please don’t try to summon a spirit just yet, until you’re sure you can handle it). Try herbs, sigils, energy work, maybe wait on gods/spirit work but look into that if it seems interesting, just try ANYTHING that seems good. However, don’t worry about pigeonholing yourself - you don’t need to define yourself now, or ever, so don’t get stressed about ‘oh am I a tech witch because I like emoji spells and having an Evernote grimoire or am I a green witch because I like using herbs?“ like… just don’t worry about it.

TLDR research everything you can get your little witchy hands on, take lots of notes, try lots of stuff and see what sticks.

idk what you mean by weird movies but: donnie darko, a scanner darkly (nice cast and funky pseudoanimation), dü levande, kynodontas (tw sex scenes and some bloody stuff), the voices (marjane satrapi directed it so it's ridiculously pretty and ryan reynolds plays A Dude, A Dog and A Cat), the machinist, cube (kinda gory), and i haven't seen yet but i've heard good things of: rubber, post tenebras lux, applesauce

i’ve seen cube, the machinist and the voices, i wrote a semiotic analysis on donnie darko (so yeah, watched that one over a dozen times), but i’ve never heard of the others. Thank you so much for the recs!!!!!

hi hello i read your tags in that gorilla post and i wanted to ask u if u have any cool vegan cake/cookie recipes or any cool vegetable meal recipes bc most of the ones i've found are kinda "meh"

most regular cake/cookie recipes would work, just replace the egg (flax seeds + water, half of a mashed banana, etc) and use a plant based milk! lots of boxed cake mixes are vegan too! but one of my favorite dessert recipes is this blueberry muffin recipe by waka flaka flame (waka is vegan!!). it’s so good. my entire (non vegan) family loves them and wants me to make them all the time. 

and about the veggies recipes, i am not much of a veggie person, but this soup is SO YUMMY!!!  i actually made a post on here about how much i loved that soup lol. i also love making rice paper rolls with veggies. i love them bc you can literally put whatever you want in them and they’re always so good, and here’s an example. i found rice paper rolls at kroger in the asian food section, btw.  

i can also recommend some vegan cooking youtube channels: hot for food, the vegan corner, thrivingonplants
