Ur fav broken girl is back with another sunburn, RIP. I need more after sun
I have returned with a sulaco crew on the beach request! I just wanna see those guys be happy more ;-; Could just be the reader relaxing with bishop all day, but I also have this headcanon that synths can actually get a sunburn, cause the scientists at the lab did such a great job recreating the skin for them. I just imagine one scene being like reader asking if he’s gonna put on some sunscreen or not and he just replies: you don’t have to worry about that, he can’t get sunburnt:) (he hasn’t really been exposed to the sun that much so far, so he thinks it’ll be fine). By the end of the day he comes back to the ship looking like a rotisserie chicken and he was also wearing sunglasses the whole time, so there’s a mark there and on his thighs bc of the swimming trunks. So yeah! *twirls hair*

Whumptober day 5- Sunburns
Over half of Shoyo’s day was spent outside playing beach volleyball. His toned arms were tanned and freckled, much to Tobio’s enjoyment.
“Oi, Shoyo!” Tobio jogged over to his boyfriend, his feet sinking into the soft sand. “I’m serving.”
“Says who?” Shoyo giggled, tossing the ball over Tobio’s head. “Go get it.” He delivered a small smack to Tobio’s behind, motivating him to get a move on.
“Brat.” Tobio pouted but obeyed.
Shoyo was undeniably handsome. All lean muscle and golden skin. If Tobio were a less dedicated player, he might find himself getting distracted. He watched Shoyo’s arms flex in his sleeveless top and couldn’t help but wish they were hanging around his neck.
They had missed playing on the same team. Sure, competing against each other was fun. It was intense and exciting, but nothing could match the thrill of playing with the one person you knew you could trust most in the world. They both believe that, as long as they had the other, they could score with their eyes closed.
Despite it being a casual game, unrelated to training and just a way to have fun, they both took it seriously. Sweat dripped down Tobio’s brow, his chest rising and falling, heaving as he competed.
Shoyo cheered, not at all fatigued. His seemingly endless supply of energy hadn’t been seeped by the hot sun or rough playing. Even so, he wanted to run around in the ocean.
“Tobio!” He shouted, stretching his arms and catching the ball. “Come on, let’s go in the water.”
“Alright.” Tobio sighed, joining in on his boyfriend’s stretching. “Aigh!” He hissed when his hand touched his shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” Shoyo jogged over.
“What the?” Tobio hissed.
“Oh, ouch!” Shoyo bit his lip. “You’ve got a bad sunburn.”
“How?” Tobio grunted. “I used sunscreen.”
“What SPF?” Shoyo hummed.
“What?” Tobio hopped into the shade.
Shoyo dug through Tobio’s bag, pulling out his sunscreen. “SPF 30?” He gasped. “Geez, of course, you got burnt.”
“Stupid fuckin sunscreen,” Tobio whined.
“Come on, let’s go inside,” Shoyo took Tobio’s hand.
“Am I gonna get skin cancer?” Tobio picked at the quickly peeling skin.
“No!” Shoyo pouted, “Don’t even talk about that. And stop doing that!” He slapped Tobio’s hand off and lathered his own with aloe vera.
“What are you- oh.” Tobio sighed in relief, the sticky, cold gel wonderful against his hot skin.
“I got sunburned, like, every day my first week here. This thing is a lifesaver!” Shoyo spread it across Tobio’s arms and back, massaging softly.
Tobio leaned his head back and smiled, glad he had someone to both play and recover with. He would never say it out loud, but he thanked anything he could that he had met Shoyo. He swore to never let him go.
once again im asking what about a situation where a closeted lesbian is into you but can't be into a GIRL and decides that the only way to move forward is by turning you into her perfect boyfriend without giving a shit abt how you feel about it. should you be so lucky to get with her.

It's better to burn out than fade away.
Photography from Illustrated People by Thomas Mailaender, 2015
llustrated People is the manifestation in book form of a performance by Thomas Mailaender, in which he applied original negatives selected from the Archive of Modern Conflict’s collection to the skin of models and projected a powerful UV lamp over them, revealing a fleeting image on the skin’s surface. Mailaender then photographed each of his models before exposure to daylight caused the images to disappear. The book comprises the resulting shots interspersed with a series of archival images from the AMC collection.
