An "armed and extremely dangerous" parole officer turned himself in Tuesday morning after authorities launched a manhunt, linking him to three separate New York City shootings that killed a man and a young girl and an elderly person in a wheelchair was injured police and sources.

Police say a wheelchair is waiting for a bus. Dewalt was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover. Oliver was later suspected of killing 21-year-old Kevon Langston around 2:40 p.m. on the sixth floor of Gov. Alfred E. Smith's homes at 15 St. James Pl., police officers said. He is said to have shot Langston twice in the chest and once in the leg inside the council housing complex across from police headquarters. Langston was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition and did not survive. Oliver then returned to Brooklyn, where he is accused of shooting a 17-year-old girl in the chest just after midnight on Tuesday at the Kingsborough Houses at 719 Kingsborough 7 Walk, police officers said. The teenager was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where she died from her injuries around 12:45 a.m., authorities said. "Based on the evidence gathered, three criminal seals and a series of investigative steps, it has been determined that the killer in all three incidents is the same," Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a morning news conference. "Right now we're looking for Sundance Oliver," the commissioner said, adding that he's about 6ft 2in tall and has a slim build. "She has the letters M and G tattooed under her right eye and a large floral tattoo of a green rose on the right side of her neck with the words 'Rich Forever' across it." "He's considered armed and extremely dangerous." The chief police officer said Tuesday that the NYPD is on "high alert" as all of its offices have become involved in the search for Oliver. The fatal victims of the last two shootings are "connected" to Oliver, Chief Detective James Essig told reporters. Oliver is "well known" to the NYPD with a dozen prior arrests, including at least two prior robberies, Essig said. He was held in state prison for first-degree robbery from June 2015 to July 2020, when he was paroled, according to state correction records. His parole expires in March 2023.
