And suddenly there's a black-haired, twin-tailed goddess literally being THROWN at Sunny. Because reasons. (yes I deliberately picked the one most likely to try flirting with the lovely Noire :3)

Sunny barely had time to to even register what was flying towards her until the woman slammed into her, knocking her to the ground with a muffled grunt. She blinked several times, staring at the woman now lying on top of her. Not exactly a new experience for her, but the circumstances were certainly a little unusual.

“Uhh...not that I’m complaining but...you could have at least bought me a drink first.”

Character Lore Part 1: Sunny’s Cigars

Staring off with this one because I explained them to someone the other day, so it was in my head.

Sunny’s cigars are, as you might expect, not your standard tobacco sort. BUT before the weed jokes start...well. Not exactly.

Sundavar exclusively smokes cigars made from a relatively rare herb found only in the desert. It’s rarity is due largely to the fact that only the elven nomads have ever learned how it’s cultivated, and they keep a tight control on all trade of the substance.

While the reason for this is largely because they recognise it’s monetary worth, it’s also because the herb can, when prepared correctly, act as a powerful hallucinogenic that has the side effect of amplifying any existing magical abilities one has for a short time. However, the dried varient is used only for smoking.

It has several special properties, the most important being that it is medicinal. It carries none of the common risks of tobacco or other types of smoking and indeed evidence has shown that it’s smoke actually calms the airways. It does not provide any sort of “kick” or “buzz” one would expect and is not a stimulant, meaning there is little to no risk of addiction. Instead it’s value comes from it’s unique smell.

The scent itself is very difficult to describe. It is unique in that upon inhalation, the smoke triggers a recollection of a particular smell well liked or connected to strong positive memories by the individual. For example, a person who grew up in a leatherworkers and had very positive memories of their childhood may associate the smell of the smoke with the smell of freshly tanned leather, even though the actual smell is entirely different. As such the specific scent varies form individual and can even be different upon each inhalation.

This property makes it particularly prized and sought after as a luxury item. The fact that Sunny can afford it at all and in such high quantities should on it’s own be an indication of her less than legal work. The truth is she spends almost every coin she makes on the stuff. Hers is an addiction of a different sort; the smoke, without fail, triggers memories of her mother’s perfume.

Someone complained to me before that they disliked Sunny because she was too forward and flirted with everybody. Which is fine, I’m kind of used to people disliking her, but I wanted to make a point.

Sunny will never come on to you if you don’t want her to. Sure flirting is her way of breaking the ice and if she gets a positive response she will likely continue to pursue a character, but the second someone says no, she’ll back off. She may still act very forward but she means it purely in a friendly way and won’t try to start anything, and she’d do her best to stop that too if someone told her it bothered them.

Just something I wanted to make clear about her.

Does Sunny have any favorite foods?

Sunny is not fussy. Like, at all. She has literally survived off of garbage in the past. She grew up on the streets so for a long time food was whatever she could get her hands on that didnt make her puke. That attitude stuck with her into adulthood and she tends to just eat whatever is readily available. More often than not that's fast food type stuff sold by street vendors.

In answer to your question though, she actually loves fresh fruit. It was almost impossible to find growing up so she came to associate it with luxury. She never eats oranges though; she had a bad experience with a rotten one.
