yahtzeemaybe replied to your post: I was not paying attention, are they supposed to...
I think they’re in a place called Forks or something
No, no I know Forks. I lived in the area. I’m trying to figure out logistics which is probably foolish.
I instantly regretted my answer
yahtzeemaybe answered your question “*glances off to the side* … so what’s the ship name for Anakin/Rex… So...”
Order 66
HOLY SHIT
If Doris replaced all of her old parts, doesn't that create a "ship of Theseus" conundrum?
her robo-brain is still the same
So as someone who's currently working on the plot of his own story, I was wondering if you had any tips or advise for when it comes to setting up the plot and events?
Oh gosh. I’m super flattered, but I’m seriously the worst person to ask because I’m a panster and I suck at plotting. I just kinda go and hope something coherent comes out of it.
I’m honestly the most useless writer.
If I was going to give advice it would be to think about what you want from the story. Be it big revelations or certain emotional beats, whatever. Then think about the best way to build that up to convey it.
So what kinds of scenes can you use to define or build up that emotion, or to give a background for some future revelation? I think it also helps if you can note certain highlights you want to hit, things you might have a clear picture of in your head. Then you can kinda sprawl out from there and connect the dots, so to speak.
And this isn’t necessarily for plotting, but my only real piece of writing advice to anyone, is to read it back out loud.
Always read it out loud.
You’ll find a lot of clunky sentences, a lot of missing story beats, or even dropped words, if you read it out loud.
Also I apologize for not having some really awesome advice. Because of that I’m publishing this, since I’m sure my talented writery friends have better advice.
yahtzeemaybe replied to your post: The highlight of that last trailer was the wicked...
which game was it?
Forza Horizon some number sequel.
yahtzeemaybe replied to your post: is Critical Role ending?
Ugh I know, I’m super emotional about this too! I’ve grown so attached to all of the characters and their journey and- ugh it’s too much. THough I have to wonder what their next adventure is going to be, and who we’re going to meet.
I’ve honestly been trying not to think about it too much today. But I do have my Vox Machina tee on and I JUST AGSLJHGSJAGHAGAHL ;-;
