Sunday Storytime

This post is about the day when I was class X and our Maths teacher was leaving the school. We had a small party for her in the classroom itself. We decorated the boards, walls and doors with balloons and colourful paper garlands. A girl made a huge (I actually mean huge- about 2ft long) farewell card in which we all wrote our wishes for her in neat square spaces (there were approx 46 of us).We cut a cake too and had snacks, biscuits as well as chips.

Towards the end, our teacher sat down on her chair to have one last informal talk with all of us. We brought our chairs and sat in a circle around her. Now, I don’t know why this naughty and random thought came into my mind. Just as a girl beside me was about to sit, I pushed her chair a little to the side before she could sit and she fell down on the floor with a *thud*. Everyone started to giggle, including she, herself. Thankfully she laughed over it and took no offence but now I think about this and am so guilty of being so unnecessarily stupid.

I cannot believe how an obedient, good girl disposition of mine gets rattled at such thoughts of pranks and my brain acts involuntarily in that instant. I literally have no control and I am filled with dopamine in such moments. It is such a mystery to me.
