there is no effort made to look at all invested in what is being said to ( at ) her. no one who has come to her in her cell has said anything unexpected, they have not been looking for a conversation, simply someone to point fingers at and ramble on to. they want her to bend, to appease, to beg for forgiveness and grovel with apology after apology for what she’d done. but all they will be met with is a brick wall of apathy and resentment. she will not give them the satisfaction of giving up her dignity for their closure.
