will never get over the fact that we can clearly see the moment Yeongno falls irrevocably, 100%, both-feet-in-the-grave in love with Sun.
Before this moment, we see little moments where his feelings for her are definitely pretty obvious, but the test and his ascension always took priority above all else. He cared for her, but he preferred just ghosting her or keeping her out of the situation entirely so he could move on with his test. Just a few panels before this, he's pretty devestated that she probably left the mountain, but his mind instantly jumped to his next coures of action now that she was out of the picture.
But after this moment, this is really when we can see something in his heart just clicks. She becomes his full priority, his main focus. The test, the ascension, all of it takes a backseat after this chapter. He saves her by duping the Southern Dragon King, knowing exactly what kind of consequences he'd face, knowing that he'd miss the rest of the test, just to save her.
The Yeongno before would have saved her, maybe even escaped with her in taxi so he could take the test and tried to stave off of the Southern Dragon King's wrath. But he turned and took the full consequences, knowing what would happen to him. Because of sun. Because he realized how far she was wiling to help him, and with the gradual build-up of his feelings leading to this chapter, this became the catalyst for him to sacrifice everything just for her.
