Jellybean's mast cell cancer is unfortunately systemic and in her liver as well. The vets think that with her spleen removed, she can live for another year at least, or more if we are lucky.

Literature shows that chemotherapy isn't very effective.

We might see one more oncology vet for a second opinion, but at this point I think we are going to let Jellybean live out the rest of her days in peace, hope that she can still have a good long life, and treasure our remaining time with her.

Thanks everyone for your support. Jellybean is in good spirits and is as clueless as ever.

hey guys

if ur following my bsky u already know but i just wanted to share for awareness that a few weeks ago, my little jellybean was diagnosed with skin cancer on her ear

we got her ear removed last friday, they said they fully excised the tumor, but they also biopsied both the tumor and her spleen because apparently mast cell tumors spread to spleens a lot in cats

and that spleen check came back positive, meaning her cancer spread to her spleen.

we have a consultation with an oncologist next week to discuss next steps for my little guy but regardless of what we choose its going to be really tough on me and my partner.

we seriously need to start punishing false AI accusations on art with extreme violence. every time i see cool art on this site and some chucklefucks in the replies are like "[stupid person who didnt do research voice] this is AI" i want to fucking destroy them.
