PERSONALITY
Sunny is open-minded and kind-hearted. She is the kind of person who generally likes to think that people have the best of intentions until they prove her otherwise. Even after they take advantage of her generosity, she will give them a million more chances She doesn't like coming across as needy or emotional because she is afraid she'll be a burden on someone. She tends to bottle things up until she cannot possible do so anymore. When she reaches her max, it is like emotional diarrhea. Her closest friends would definitely know her well enough to know when she is lying through her teeth and try and prevent the implosion. Most casual acquaintances would think she's always put together even when she is like five minutes away from a breakdown from trying to manage the chaos of some element of her life whether it be family dynamics or her job. She just wants to be happy and make those around her happy at the end of the day.

BACKGROUND / BIO
trigger / sensitive content warning: death
The decision to have a child was a deliberate choice for Nico and Adrian Nardelli. While gay marriage was not legalized for some time after the pair found each other, the two had a strong, committed relationship and knew that they wanted children to be a part of it. Nico is recently retired lawyer with a focus on civil rights and Adrian is a curator at a local art museum. While untraditional pathways to parenthood are not always affordable for people, they managed to make it work. After telling their friends that they wanted to have children, a friend named Dusty who owned a local bar offered to be their gestational carrier. Less than a year later, they had a bouncing baby girl named Sunny. A few years later, they had a son with a different carrier.
Sunny grew up in a warm, loving home environment. While her extended family wasn’t supportive of her fathers or around much growing up, her parents always had a wide variety of friends around the house that more than made up for whatever was lacking. Her biological mother was always a part of her life as well and lovingly thought of as an Aunt. She has also always been exceptionally close to her brother even though there have been the occasional fight through the years. They might not share blood but she would literally do anything to protect him.
Her dads have supported her through every phase of her life, never denying her anything that she really needed or wanted. They even paid for her to attend business school at the local university though she insisted on having a part-time job helping around at her dad’s law firm to help pay her share. Through the spectrum of her fathers, Sunny grew up conscious of how blessed she is and has never really let it go to her head. Her brother, on the other hand, is the embodiment of spoiled younger brother and she has spent the better part of the last ten years trying to convince him to grow up and leave Neverland.
She took a very practical office job after graduation since she didn’t really know what she wanted to do with her degree. It was unfulfilling but it did pay well It was enough to purchase a townhouse downtown. About a year ago, her life was sort of turned upside down when her biological mother passed unexpectedly. She didn’t expect to be included in the will even if they had been close. When she found out she’d been left her business, it definitely required her to do a lot of soul searching about whether or not she could even manage a club. She even thought about selling it. She couldn’t bring herself to do it though.
Bonne Merde was born out of her inheritance and she devoted herself to getting it up to snuff. Bonne Merde has different entertainment depending on the night: local music, comedy, poetry slam, etc. A couple years ago, she sort of hit a moment where she was overwhelmed by her responsibility, underwhelmed by where her life was going she packed a bag and left town leaving the business in the hands of her irresponsible brother and her home in the hands of friends. After searching the world, she still hasn't found what she's looking for so she's back though and ready to get her life on track starting with taking her business back.

Sunny Nardelli (Nicola Couglan) is looking for their younger brother!
WANTED CONNECTION: Younger Brother
FOR CHARACTER(s): Sunny Nardelli
REQUIREMENTS: Ethan is approximately 2-3 years younger than Sunny. They do not share DNA so they do not have to look like Sunny. They have two dads and each dad contributed to the genetics of each of them with different gestational carrier/egg donors.
SUGGESTED FCS: Open
WANTED DETAILS: Sunny loves her brother but she also pesters him a lot about growing up. She has always been a bit more serious about life, whereas he is a bit more laid-back, willing to live with their dads forever. Sunny sort of left him with her bar when she left town for a couple of years in hopes he would grow up a bit. He didn’t burn it to the ground. She had a good relationship with her biological mom but his wasn’t really in the picture as an “Aunt” or anything else. In the past, he’s been mentioned/played as in a band and often used her bar as a place to play.

BACKGROUND / BIO
Trigger warnings: death
The decision to have a child was a deliberate choice for Nico and Adrian Nardelli. While gay marriage was not legalized for some time after they got together, the two had a strong, committed relationship and knew that they wanted children to be a part of it. Nico is a prominent civil rights lawyer and Adrian is a curator at a local art museum. While untraditional pathways to parenthood are not always affordable for people, it wasn’t an issue for them. They also didn’t struggle to find friends willing to step up to help them within their friend group. After telling their friends that they wanted to have children, a friend named Dusty who owned a local bar offered to be their carrier. Less than a year later, they had a bouncing baby girl named Sunny. A few years later, they had a son with a different carrier.
Sunny always had a warm, loving home environment. While her extended family wasn’t supportive or around much growing up, her parents always had a wide variety of friends around the house that more than made up for whatever was lacking.
They even paid for her to attend business school at the local university though she insisted on having a part-time job helping around her dad’s law firm. She did that throughout her upper education years because she didn’t feel like they were paying everything for her. The fact that her brother is still overly dependent on the bank of dad is a point of contention.
She took an office job after graduation since she didn’t really know what she wanted to do with her degree. It was unfulfilling but paid well. It was enough to purchase a townhouse downtown.
She has spent the last year making Bonne Merde her own. Bonne Merde has different entertainment depending on the night: local music, comedy, poetry slam, etc. Her brother has taken it upon himself to be a bit of a mooch and constantly begs for free drinks for himself and/or his friends. They also usually try and get gigs out of her and she usually bends. She is just trying to keep everything afloat and make her family proud of her.
Merrock would like to welcome SUNNY NARDELLI! Sunny (she/her, cis female) was born on February 19,1991 in Merrock, Maine and has been in town for her whole life. Currently, they live in Historical Downtown and are working as the owner of Bonne Merde. They look a little bit like Nicola Coughlan, no? – written by: Kris, She/Her, EST, 36.
