Counselor’s Corner
In class this month we will be discussing 2 design principles. We will be focusing on The Having of Wonderful Ideas and The Primacy of Self Discovery. Students will learn that their ideas are amazing and that by sharing those ideas with others they discover a little more about themselves. The activities the students will participate in will give them the confidence to share their ideas. We will work together to discover the correlation between their ideas and who they are as individuals.

Emergency Updates

EL 101
As we continue our journey toward accreditation as an EL School, we are looking forward to incorporating “expeditions” into our curriculum this year. Faculty and students have worked diligently over the last three years growing together through CREW, case studies, and ELA module curriculum focusing on the end goal. As a staff we are looking forward to experiencing all the high quality work that students will be producing as they participate in this journey alongside us here at Sunnyside during the 2018-2019 school year. Mrs. Dixon’s Updates
Hello Sunnyside Families! Each month you will be receiving [One Page Printed] monthly newsletter from the staff and teachers at Sunnyside. The purpose is to provide you with school and district changes and updates as well as give you insight into what we are doing within the building. Most newsletters will contain EL Education and counselor information as well as policies being changed or enforced. As for this month, I wanted to take a quick minute to introduce myself as I haven’t done that yet! My name is Kylie Dixon, and I come from Ethel Boyes Elementary where I taught for 6 years in kindergarten and fifth grade. I graduated with my bachelors in Elementary Education and my masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho. My husband’s name is Brian and he farms on the west side of town, and we have a two year old named Sawyer. I love being outdoors, and I have a passion for learning. I am so excited to work with all of the students, teachers and parents at Sunnyside!
