How did you discover Anna Sui? Was it a love at first sight?

Ha ha, actually, no! At first I heard her name through my friend Florence, who introduced me to her cosmetics line. Back then I was really into Lolita style, which goes hand in hand with the cosmetics, but being a teen and all, I irrationally felt that I should leave those cosmetics to Florence, that it was “her thing”. Oh boy. Then I matured, rediscovered her again through her cosmetics, and then love struck. I remember opening her main website, with the little boutique front animation, and feeling a rush of pleasant adrenaline. At that time, I was ripe to embrace the Anna Sui World and did so wholeheartedly. I left Lolita shortly after and since then, my support and love for what she does has grown stronger than ever. It’s been over 3 years now, and my passion for Anna Sui drove me to:

Start the only English Anna Sui blog because there was none out there,

Work for the only retailer stocking her in my province, 

Attending her fashion shows, 

Meeting her multiple times,

Visiting her office,

Exchanging emails with her (I still feel so blessed about that!) 

Starting a fanclub, 

Gaining backstage access to her shows,

And being invited to a press event for LVDB…

I’ve met so many wonderful people on my journey toward my passion. Whenever I feel down about myself, I think back to the above and it reminds me that yes, I can achieve amazing things if I pour my heart into it. Anna has allowed me to see that I can live my dream! <3
