Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud The view of the bridge from the Batteries to Bluffs Trail is always spectacular when the bridge isn't totally shrouded in fog (I haven't shot the fog over the bridge yet ... but soon). At 9:00 am the lighting on the bridge is so amazing my photo is a poor imitation. If you want pics from just above the water you have to hike 1/2 mi down the steps and gravel & sand trail about 25 stories and then be ready to hike back up. If you want to test it out just go as far as the overlook down about half way.
