First Day Back!
Yesterday was my first day back to work/training after my two days off. It was alot of fun but also a lot to remember!! Luckily my trainer, Rudy, is such a great trainer. He makes it enjoyable (and he encourages me on my idea of making sequinned hockey jerseys!!), I even had fun doing trash yesterday!!
After doing the last of my e-learning and a quick lesson on condiments and trash, we went to scoops. Its the Ice Cream parlour in Sunset Market, "Hollywood Scoops". They have all kinds of lovely scooped ice cream, sundaes, brownie sundaes, and apple crisp a la mode, and my perosnal favourite, mint chocolate chip ice cream!! (I got some of that at lunch as a "taste test" so I know the product, om nom nom!) It was fun, I did scooping, cash, then closed it at the end of the night. It was crazy busy, even when it was raining outside!! Also, when I first got on cash the second register froze so only mine was working, then we got a lovely little rush from the Beauty and the Beast show...So yes, now I feel fully prepared to handle the register!! Yikes!
But the best part of my day you ask?...I got to make a magical moment for someone!! We had a brownie sundae that was a mess up, so when that happens they use it to make a magical moment. I got to go out and find someone that was walking along and give it to them! I found a women and she asked me what it was that I had in my hands and I was like "oh! This is our fudge brownie sundae, its so delicious!...would you like this one?" and then when she accepted I gave it to her! You wouldn't believe how happy that small little gesture made it!! It pretty much made my day being able to do that :) It was such a long (and ice cream covered) day and I was just ready for bed when I got home. Now I am up again and ready for another day of work!!
