dont read meat candy or beyond canon no matter what any1 says they arnt canon compliant if u have comfort characters in main hs u will sufferrrr theres rword and character assassination and everyones ooc the cool new character designs arnt worth it they turn jane into trump hitler and karkat into che guevara omg it stops being homestuck and starts being politics and really bad trans rep that makes me icky inside bc there using it as criticism shields :((((
my comfort character has so many headcannons shoved in him anyway he might as well be a totally different character anyhow. (Its Cronus incase youre curious. yeah i have horrible taste in fictional men i get it dont @ me XD) but i appreciate the warning. buuut i gotta give it at least a small shot. like i said in a reply if it makes me upset i can disregard it and put the book down like any reasonable person can. ive heard about how OOC it is, and if im awhere of that going into it i can just look at it as shitty fanfiction rather than blorbo from my shows. The R word shit dose piss me off. i can look past it in the main HS comic since, well, product of its time (nearly 20 years ago did it start ow my BACK) unfortunately but modern stuff? yikes. again im prepared for the pain and can just take it as shitty fanfiction im sure if someone looked at my roleplays theyd scream at me that thats not what XYZ would say so like, ehh. i can go into it knowing im gonna dislike it and maybe ill be surprised maybe i wont. but another reason i want to poke it with a stick is I WANT TO UNDERSTAND ALL THE ART PEOPLE ARE DOING. i wanna know what the fuck is going on with all the sad older dave drawings im seeing, like, HELLO?? what is this angst what dose it mean teach me youre ways. all in all- im a masochist whos painfully curious about stuff i dont understand.
