because you asked so nicely, imma give both hehe. im glad people are still missing sunset embers! i promise when i get my writing will back, i am sooo returning to that story. it’s just very different from what i am used to writing (very dark, almost do not eat dead dove fr)
here are some snippets that have been in my notes app for MONTHS now:
SUNSET EMBERS
“You should go with him,” Rhaegar whispered harshly, baring his teeth, “When he asks you. Because he will. I would, in his position. He will ask you to run away with him to only gods know where. You should go, and have his children and kiss their wounds and teach them to read.”
“You don’t mean that.” Elia rolled her eyes. The air between them was thick, knotted.
“No,” he laughed, an empty sound. “I don’t mean it.” He pushed her back, against her vanity. He turned her around. Their eyes met in the mirror. “Of course, I don’t. Stay with me forever. And whatever comes after that.”
Please, he didn’t say, but Elia heard it anyway.

“You’ve heard about the recent events in King’s Landing… the foreign prince who arrived. But what you don’t know is who this prince is or who stands with him.” Oberyn gestured to the woman. “This is the prince of Yi Ti’s advisor… and my good childhood friend, Ashara Dayne.”
The two boys gasped. They knew that name well, having grown up hearing about Ashara Dayne, the woman who had been entwined with the stories of their dead aunt, Elia Martell.
“What… what is this?” Elias stammered, struggling to understand. Aunt Ashara was supposed to be dead.
His older brother, always the more quick witted one, furrowed his brows in realization. “So the foreign prince in King’s Landing,” Tommen murmured, his mind racing. “The whispers are true. That’s Aegon. Our cousin.”
how can you say that you love someone you can’t tell is dying?
“Elia, please,” he whispered hoarsely. “I don’t want to keep arguing. I’m so tired-“
An empty laugh left her. “Tired?” She shoved past him, desperate for space as countless emotions closed in on her. “What do you think I feel, Rhaegar? We don’t talk anymore. You act differently. You don’t tell me what’s wrong. You tell me you have to leave for our sake, but you won’t even let me help! You’re distracted. You’re secretive. I don’t recognize you anymore, Rhaegar!”
“The visions,” Rhaegar insisted, indigo eyes frantic and so, so, scared. “I have to protect you, Elia, and our children. I know what must be done, but you won’t survive it, and I can’t- I can’t have that. Another way, I need another way. I love you too much. You know I love you-“
Anger boiled inside her. “How am I supposed to ‘know’ this love, Rhaegar? Where’s love when you used to tell me what was weighing on you, used to ask for my ideas and support? Where’s love when you don’t turn toward me but instead walk down the hall and shut the door to your solar? When it’s been months since our son’s birth, and yet you still hesitate to even kiss me? Where’s love when you don’t have faith in me?“
“That’s not fair,” he said sharply. “This is for us. I have to fix it. I want you protected. Safe. This is how I show I love you.”
Elia sighed and dropped to the mattress.
This conversation.
Again.
Rhaegar kept saying that. Fix it. He was so certain something was broken, but all Elia could see was their family falling apart.
“I’m your wife, Rhaegar,” she breathed out, squeezing her fists close. “I should be walking the same path as you. I shouldn’t be wondering when you’re coming back.”

I know that Hourglass is progressing in its central plot, but is there any chance that the couple Oberyn and Cersei will happen in the story? It's a very "what if" couple, but I love them and I also asked why in the embers of the Sunset Embers, they are also a couple and for some reason for me, the two stories are interconnected!
And I just wanted to make it clear that I love your fanfics <3
And also while I'm at it, I can't help but make it clear that I loved the fact that Elia's father is simply a Targaryen! rhaegar definitely had someone to take after lol! In fact, taking advantage of this point in my comment, I have a deja vu between Rhaelia and Elia's parents that probably only works in my mind, but I would really like to know your opinion as the creator of all this :)

yes, cersei and oberyn will happen! basically when i write about one couple in one story, they’ll also be present in another. i’m kinda one dimensional in that way because i only like particular ships LOL

MAJOR WRITING UPDATES!
first of all, have i said i love you guys? because i really really do. thank you soooo much for all the love and support. i really cannot emphasize the joy you guys bring me. you guys inspire me to write more and more.
second, i have decided to make sunset embers available again. that’s right- SUNSET EMBERS IS BACK! the only downside is, idk when i’ll be updating it because i have sooo many ideas for hourglass, the clean series, and ofc sunset embers and so few free hours to write them out 😢 law school man… ik ik it’s been my excuse since day 1 but listen, it’s tough out here forreal.
third, i am working on the next installment in the clean series hehe you guys really seem to love that universe and the reception i’ve had so far for the second chapter had been amazing and really encouraging. next chapter is going to be someone else’s pov! hint: their name also starts with vis ;) ;) ;)
fourth, huh maybe i should make a master post of all my fics to pin here… brb
