I took this picture a few weeks ago when I went to tend to the chickens. The trees are in full bloom!
It’s opening up and you can see the orange-yellow base and it’s starting to look like a sunset again and that’s why I bought this guy because I love the sunset flower look and it had that whole thing where it got spots that were probably some kind of rot or fungus and it was supposed to be a to-me-from-me birthday present but then it looked like it was gonna just fucking die and now it’s back and
I’m just really happy, okay?

A 'quick' painting I did yesterday evening to just relax a bit and finally try out doing a very vibrant underpainting!
All I knew I wanted was the basic pose and a bright yellow underpainting and the rest just went from there.
In the end i used watercolor, my new gouache (there is still sooo much in the palette ahhh, I'm just trying to use those blobs up, they were only meant for swatching… it's been 4 paintings) and a few poscas and pencils!
Starting to like orange actually! Genshin impact really showed me the beauty of extreme sunset lighting ♡.♡
