#sunset shirley

I made a drink I call a Sunset Shirley

So I like to experiment with making drinks sometimes, and I made this one that I really enjoy and that I am currently enjoying as I write this post, and I'd like to share it with all of you.

I call it a Sunset Shirley because it's basically a shirley temple with peach juice in it. And the peach juice along with the red the cherry juice makes the drink look like a sunset. It also has kind of a tropical taste to it.

Here's a picture I took of the first one I made by my fireplace.

I dunno if I made anything new, but I'm pretty proud of this discovery. I've got a recipe for it under the cut if anyone's interested. I may or may not start posting more about drinks I make and the recipes for them.

Ingredients

Ginger ale (7up or sprite might also work for this)

Peach juice

Maraschino cherries

Salt (Optional)

Instructions

Step one: Pour your peach juice into your cup

Step two: Pour in your ginger ale

Step three: Fish two cherries out of the jar using a fork and put them into your drink. During this step, I recommend taking the stems off of the cherries. You don't have to, but it is preferred.

Step four: Pour some of the cherry juice from the jar into your drink.

Step five (Optional): Sprinkle some salt into your drink. This will cause the soda to fizz up a bit.
