Sunset Boardwalks || Reed & Finley
The audition had passed, and Finley sat in the lobby of the Los Angeles Theatre, contemplating many things. She had sung her heart out, and she hoped that it would be enough to show the creative team of this production of Wicked that she would be the perfect Galinda, blonde hair, frilly dresses, and all. Her body was easing down from the nerves, her stomach feeling less tight, and her hands, not shaking any longer. She placed her earbuds in, and listened to her new favorite artist, Hozier, drowning her worries away.
Finley tugged at the hem of her skirt, as she awaited a text from Reed. She had only just started talking to the man, but there was something so inviting about him. Maybe it was his eyes. Bright blue, she couldn't wait to meet him in person. He seemed so lovely, and his invitation for a walk on the beach, with ice cream was just adorable. Plus, he owned a tattoo parlor, and after having her first tat, already on her neck, she thought it would be nice to be familiar with Reed, so getting another tattoo would be a comfortable experience.
As she was easing away into Cherry Wine, her favorite song on Hozier's album, she felt the buzz of her phone, which meant she had a text. Reed was waiting outside, so Finley picked up her bag, placed the sheet music back in, and smoothed out her hair. She put her sunglasses on, and walked to the door, not looking back. Spotting a car, she walked towards it, peering a bit to see if he was there.
