The end to a chapter but the beginning the story #thebestsummerever was an understatement to the value of these past 4 weeks. I walked through through the doors of this program alone with very little connection to anyone prior and left with 39 lifelong friends, each with gifts and talents that can be used to produce beautiful sounding records. We have laughed together, cried together, and produced tracks that will live in our hearts and memories forever. I thank all my teachers and TA’s for not just expanding my knowledge in the studio but also helping me to become more open to the entire scope of the music industry and not just the creative side. If I wrote about everything that I wanted to touch on from my experience at SHS, I would be writing a novel so I want to take a different and more open ended direction on this last post as part of the summer high school experience. If I had use one word to describe the past month, I would use “unordinary”. If I went back through every day of the program there was never a dull moment, we were always gelling closer together as a group and not only growing as musicians but as genuine, passionate, and kind people who serve others through music. I will miss all of you dearly and wish you all the best on your own musical paths.
