closed starter for @sunshincwitch where/when: infamy drag show night
Drag is an art Elyse respects greatly. It's painterly and performance-based, and the artist understands the need to throw your entire body into the work. It's transformative, transgressive, exaggerated, and yet entirely true to life. They like to think that Elysium's works are the same way.
Drag's a lot more fun, though.
You throw a drag show like a party. You open a gallery like a casket viewing. Just take that night at Nouveau... Whatever. Elyse is excited to be here, and is actually surprised to learn Autumn's girlfriend Aria is performing tonight. That was an unexpected bonus to showing up. Autumn's been a little distant lately, but it's fine -- between spending time with Birdie and Cam, the artist has been a little busy herself. Tonight's a night to unwind, burn up that excess energy, and have a little rowdy fun and try to remember it all in the morning.
Elyse sidles up to the bar -- Infamy doesn't do anything as complex as the Knockback unless you know who to ask and what to tell them, but there's still plenty of heavy pours that'll get you where you need to go for the night. With drink in hand, they float to the edge of the room, away from the bulk of the action -- that's where good liquor gets spilled. They turn to someone else standing solo nearby, giving a friendly nod. "A little insider trading," she says over the thump of the music, "the big basket of stuff from Eden's is easily worth, like, $400."
