remember in the first thor movie when loki shows up to tell thor “hey, so dad is dead, you can’t come home because mom doesn’t want you back, and as an aside you’ll never be able to lift that hammer” and thor’s gut reaction to all of this is to apologize to loki for the hurt he’s caused and thank him for bringing him the news? he’s a good boy. with a good heart. i lov him

is capslock!thor still the cherished headcanon of the avengers fandom? because i tend to think thor is actually a very reasonable typist. his true downfall is that he gets offended when his friends fail to use exclamation points, because who sends you a message about the robots attacking downtown without making it an exclamation?? norns, do you think we’re merely talking about the weather does no one else take this seriously!!

dad/mom!loki is so popular in fandom, to the exclusion of my personal fave: uncle loki

now my other half kaitlin knows this was not always my personal fave but after a while you start to think about it

but secretly hides the babies in his coat so he can sneak around with them close to his heart

thor he is using magic to keep them floating in midair

pranks the kiddos mercilessly when they're clever enough to take it

at the same time fiercely protective

is grumpy around them not just for the sake of Making It Very Clear that children are slobbery and gross

but also because he feels he can be open with them

loki sees thor in thor's children

everything that ever frustrated him about thor

everything he still loves about thor

with all of the innocence he and thor no longer have

loki being able to start over with thor's kids
