Drew this to celebrate finally completing my grail set of G1 Sunshine Ponies! Their color-changing hair and neon color palette call forth memories of resting under the warm sun on a boat.
I bought my first pony from the set (Mainsail) in 2014, and my last pony (Sand Digger) in 2024! It was a very slow, casual hunt.
Sunshine Pony Beach Ball needs a rehair.

Two kind of random ladies also entered my herd, as I don’t have any of the other ladies in these sets! We have Mainsail from the Sunshine ponies, who have color changing hair (the white part, that always frizzes!), and Sweet Notes from the Rockin Beat ponies! Both have really cool TAF-esque designs, and super cool hair- look at the crimp in Sweet Notes’!
Original Condition: Good
Flaws: Head/Body mismatch with Mainsail, and a marker stain on her body. Unsure if her color change mechanic still works.
Restoration materials: shampoo, conditioner, soap
Current Condition: Very good/good!
I still have a Sunshine Pony Seaflower that I bought for myself waiting for a rehair. I haven't done any rehairs all of 2023.

How many Sunshine Pony Beach Balls have I done, now?....
I enjoy working with more difficult fibers like Sunshine Pony Beachball’s UV react hair. The after is all the more satisfying.
Her hair still changes color in the sun!
She is having a bit of trouble standing up, though.
This Sunshine Pony Beach Ball replaced the Beach Ball I had in my personal collection, because this one has much brighter vinyl.
