Sunshine had been too busy at work to take a break. The lunch hour bringing in a few people who needed their wedding rings resized or wanted to get their ears pierced, or just wanted to look around. It wasn't like it was that big of an issue for her, and it also wasn't the first time they'd had to work through their lunch break because it got too busy, but now it was almost two in the afternoon and Sunshine was hungry.
They had grabbed their coat and told their colleagues they were gonna take a short break. Luckily the jewellery shop was close to a lovely bakery she had been visiting more and more recently. She loved baked goods and they were definitely a treat, especially on such a busy day, but it was the cute owner that made her come back time and time again.
Opening the door to the bakery, they were hit with the smell of baked goods, which left them feeling warm inside. Sunshine was happy to see the baker already at the front of the store and gave her a smile. "Hey, fancy seeing you here," they spoke, pushing some hair behind their ear as they walked up to the counter, eyeing the leftover pastries.
