The moment he heard the voice he froze, a million thoughts and images going through his mind. She was dead. He knew she was dead. She'd died on the quest. They'd come back without a body, said they couldn't find one. Alex had helped with the shroud. He'd burned it with them, he'd been grieving for months. "You're dead."
"I should be, but I’m not," she replied. In all honesty, she thought she was a goner. Everything that could’ve gone wrong on that quest did, and in the end, she practically forced her companions to leave without her, her own injuries at the time making her chances of escape already slim. She thought if she was going to die she’d at least make sure that they got back to camp. Though by a few weird strokes of luck, she’d survived.
"It’s…a long story. The important part though is, that I’m alive…and I’m back. It’s bee a while, I’ve missed you while I was gone, Alex." She smiled softly.
