how do you find out about meetups?
This one I found out through Facebook. There's a South Florida Nerdfighters group and they do meetups in various places. I try to hit the ones in my county, at least. Miami's a bit far :P
Try searching for [your state] Nerdfighters on Facebook? Or google around, there may be a list somewhere.
