he’s cut OFF, however, by a rather VIOLENT cough, one that leaves his MOUTH tasting lke BLOOD, and he quickly HIDES the inside of his sleeve now stained RED.  he wants to tell her it’s NOTHING, just a COLD, but he CAN’T.  not when it’s gotten like THIS.  with a SIGH, he speaks once more, voice a little HOARSE.
