Remember when I was planning out super powers for the AH guys for the Super Creatures AU but didn’t really say much other than rough ideas? I may have solidified some stuff and just didn’t post it, and then ended up forgetting, but I remembered this morning for some reason, so I figured I’d share for fun, despite never talking about this AU much anymore.
I should point out that the AH Crew were born with their abilities while the Creatures and friends were given their abilities as young children
Geoff – It’s speculated that he was Patient 0; the source code for the original experiments; Mr OG himself. It is unknown if he ages like normal human beings, but the guy is invulnerable to virtually anything and, on top of that, he can fly like a pro. He has a tendency to go invisible on regular occasions, usually just to fuck with his crew.
Jack – He is quite possibly one of the biggest softies around, unless you get on his bad side. He has super strength and can tear apart virtually anything with his bare hands. Most of the time, he is incredibly gentle and would never hurt anything unintentionally, especially kitties.
Michael – It’s often speculated that one of his parents was a ferocious grizzly bear. His retractable bear claws can rip through anything, and his enhanced battle cry can bust your ear drums if you get too close. Note: the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.
Gavin – With the ability to slow down time, he has a lot of fun messing with his friends. While he cannot speed up or stop time, he can slow it down so that it’s almost completely still and can choose whether he wants to slow down one thing or time itself.
Ray – Whether he wants to check out your embarrassing underwear or see what’s inside the vault of the bank three blocks over, his x-ray vision appears to be limitless. There’s really no need for his lazer vision but he might show it off if Jack or Michael are too busy fucking other things up.
Ryan – Somewhat of a Jekyll and Hyde case, he appears to be two completely different people at times. Ryan himself is the master of telepathy, with the ability to block other telepathics from reading his thoughts, and can take full control of your mind, if he really wanted. The Mad King is a force to be reckoned with. While not as strong as Jack, his enhanced strength could still rip apart a human being.
A sidenote I figured I’d add is that Gav and Ray were once X-Ray and Vav when they were younger, making a name for themselves as real-life superheroes, but giving up when they got bored of being the good guys. Dan is an avid fan and he and Jordan decide to seek them out when superpower-related incidents start to happen; ie. bank robberies.
Hey remember my Super Creatures AU? (I mean, I didn't forget about it for months, again, or anything...)
This morning I decided I want to expand on it a little more. Like, you know how, in the Marvel universe, some characters were born with their abilities (X-Men, for example) and some acquired them later down the road via experiment or accident (Spider-Man, Captain America, etc.) but they're all part of the same universe anyway? I kind of wanted to have something like that going on.
I've been sitting on making an AU where AH has powers for the longest (kind of typical of me, I guess) and with X-Ray and Vav, I don't need to come up with something for Ray or Gavin, but the others I was sitting on for a good while.
Geoff would absolutely have the ability to fly, and he'd fly circles around James, simply because he'd been doing it his whole life and nurtured it.
Ryan I absolutely need to have something crazy. Like he'd totally be able to persuade people to do whatever he wants, but when he's angry, the Mad King comes out and he's able to rip a person's heart out in a split second. So maybe super strength or something like that.
Michael I'm not 100% on but I had considered giving him the ability to produce sonic waves? Like, you know he's fucking loud and if he screams, his waves could tear down a tall building in seconds. But then I was considering Mogar and giving him retractable bear claws or something.
Jack I'm not really sure about. I had considered super strength for him originally (because I love the idea of a gentle person having amazing strength) but I have no idea. I feel like I don't know enough about him yet to think of something fitting so I guess I'll sit on it.
And then obviously Ray would have x-ray vision/lazer thing and Gav has slow mo hands.
I was sitting on introducing them all as villains to begin with (because of the whole Fake AH Crew thing) and they'd use their powers for personal gain (wealth, etc.) and the Creatures would run into them during a heist or something. The AH crew would totally know about the Creatures and their abilities, because they would have connections everywhere, so they'd have a huge advantage over them for that reason, as well as being born with their abilities.
I haven't thought much more into it but I thought it was worth sharing. I'd love to add the other AH members and the Game Grumps and stuff but I haven't thought more on that.
Since I haven't posted too much of my artwork on here lately, here are some doodles from my Twitter. They were done between like July and recently. :)
The first three are random things I never finished because I was either lazy or hated them, and then after that is all AU stuff. Sly and Seamus are the designs for Super Creatures while the rest are rough things for a different AU I've been messing with, where all of the Creatures are like your run-of-the-mill horror movie monsters. uvu It needs a lot of work but I'm slowly getting there.
But I apologise for not posting too much art here! ;v;
Sorry for the late updates. I've got terrible jet lag. :) Hope you enjoy this chapter!
Aleks stands behind a rope, separating the area of arriving passengers from friends and family members of the arrivers. Kevin was nearby, invisible of course. He intended to keep his existence a secret as much as he can. There are people out there looking for him. The black haired teen looked down at the scars surrounding his wrists. Rope marks surrounded his inked number: #800. He flipped his wrist back and forth as if fending off a ghostly grasp.
What a stupid reminder to be burned into your skin, forever within your sight, forever haunting your eyes. The ability to be invisible has its perks of staying hidden as well as hiding scars.
Kevin watched over Aleks from a distance, an area with little people, making it easy to dodge any passerby. The older brunet before him was looking for their mutual “friend”, Dexter. Kevin had Aleks believe that he and Dex were okay with each other, but he could never forgive Dex what was brought upon Aleks. He won’t ever let that go.
The carefree British brat had a loud mouth; a loud mouth that could make any person do as they are told: the power of high persuasion.
Kevin sadly has to admit, Dex is a cool guy. If only his personality wasn’t so sour.
With a quick glance, Aleks catches Dex walking out from the baggage claim. “Dex! Over here, man!” The young British lad walks over with a confident stride as he approaches the brunet.
“What’s going on? It’s been a while.” Dex wears his devilish smile.
“It sure has. Almost two years?” Aleks laughs as he pats his friend on the back. He brings the new arrival over to Kevin’s corner. Dex looks around in swift movements.
“Knowing you, I’m assuming Kevin is around?”
Aleks nods just as an invisible force smacks Dex on the shoulder. “Ow! Easy there, Kev.” He laughs. “As bitter as always. So… where to now?”
“My place. Come on let’s go, before we hit rush hour. I hate driving through traffic.” Aleks signals both Dex and the unseen teen to follow him back to his car.
On the way home, Aleks and Dex were chatting up a storm. Even though the three of them were all easily connected through Skype, the conversations they had in person just weren’t the same on the computer. Kevin was still slightly bitter. However, from time to time he would add into the conversation.
Kevin had fought Dex for shot gun. Knowing that he could’ve easily won, Dex let Kevin take the seat. He’s seen the bad side of the teen and didn’t really want to lose the small friendship he had with both Aleks and Kevin. Though, he was bored. Just talking wasn’t the same as the entertainment that came from his usual tricks. He really wanted to play with them.
He wanted to see someone dance.
“Alright, man. You take Kevin’s room. He’s going to be rooming with me while you’re here.” Aleks instructed Dex as his moves the luggage into the apartment.
“Cool.” Dex picks up his luggage and moves it straight into the room. As he walks past, Kevin sheds his shield and appears for the first time all day. “Well what do you know? Kevin still looks exactly the same. And I was just thinking I had forgotten what you looked like… or possibly gotten fat.” Dex teased.
“Ha. Ha. Very funny,” Kevin mocks in Dex’s accent.
“Kevin, did you move your shit into my room?” Aleks asks Kevin as he takes out three mugs from the kitchen cabinet.
“Yeah, I took everything. I didn’t want Dex to mess with any of my stuff.” Kevin makes a face as Dex snorts loudly.
“Whatever, man.”
---
James sighs. It has been several days since the first day of his and Ze’s training. They have both practiced several times and even got very close. As for his skill, James was able to control velocity as well as direction while in the air. He needed to work on his braking, but he’s got time. An odd thing that continuously occurs was James’ constant loss of power at a precise moment while in the air. Dan had timed it every time. An average of thirty-five minutes could be spent before James drops out of the air. It was weird.
James had just finished work that Thursday afternoon, walking around town. He knew that Aleks was busy with his friend from the UK, but he was getting antsy. It had been almost a week since they last saw each other and it killed him that they couldn’t meet for another few days. One quick call wouldn’t hurt, he decided.
Aleks was taking a toilet break from his conversation with Dex, leaving the British boy with the wary teen. The two made small talk before a loud ring from the coffee table broke them both from their awkward moment.
Kevin reached for the phone and takes one good look at the caller’s name before throwing it at Dex. “Pick it up.”
“Why don’t you do it?” Dex asks, confused.
“He doesn’t know of my existence. But he knows you’re here visiting Aleks for the week.” Kevin replies bitterly.
“Sounds like you don’t favor him very much.” Dex smirks. He was ready to answer the phone just as Kevin hisses.
“Not. At. All.”
Dex looks at the name that appeared on the phone before hitting the answer button. James Wilson. “Hello?”
“Hey, is this Aleks?”
“Nope.”
“Oh… Are you the friend that’s visiting for a week?”
“Indeed I am. How may I be of assistance?” Dex’s smile was apparent in his words. It worried James, but he continued to talk.
“Could you hand the phone over to Aleks? I have something I need to ask of him.”
“Aleks is busy in the water loo at the moment. Can I take a message?”
“That’s alright. I’ll just call again later. Thanks, man.”
“Wait, wait, hold on. I think I have an idea. Why don’t you come here and give him the message in person?” Dex harshly whispers into the phone. Kevin could recognize immediately what Dex was doing. He was using his powers again. It was the same harsh tone that Dex used on Aleks several years back.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Kevin hisses in a hushed tone. Dex shakes him off before continuing.
“I’d like to meet you, Mr. James. I’m sure Aleks would be delighted to see you.”
“Alright, I’ll be there in a few moments.” James replies in a monotone response. He hangs up as soon as he finishes and stops in his tracks. The ebony haired man rose into the air and flew into the direction of Aleks’ apartment. His movements were stiff, as if strings had pulled in right off his feet.
Kevin made piercing stares into Dex’s face. “Why THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT?” Dex scratches his hair. Before he could answer, Aleks exits the bathroom, wiping his hands on his maroon colored hoodie.
“What did Dex do?” The brunet curiously asks.
“Nothing. I didn’t do a single thing.” Dex lies. He smiles towards Kevin, who was infuriated.
“Yes you did, you stupid fu-“ Kevin was interrupted by a knock on the balcony glass door. He quickly throws on his power, spitting curses at the new arrival to their party. Aleks, wide-eyed, looked over at Dex who shrugged. He wore a smug smile, watching Aleks slowly make it across the living room. The brunet came face to face with James. Said black haired man wore a blank stare. He wasn’t even looking at Aleks.
“Dex… did you mess with my phone?”
“Not at all, this guy called first. He said he had something to ask of you and only you. So I told him to deliver the message personally. You know, rather than call back.”
Aleks groans. He opens both the glass and screen door and apologizes first hand. “Dude, James, I’m so sorry about my friend, Dex. You didn’t have to fly here.”
“Wha-? How did I get here?” James looks around at his surroundings as he snaps out of his trance. “I swear I was just on sixth street.”
Aleks was about to continue apologize but was interrupted by Dex. “Hey mate. Name’s Dex.” He extends his hand out for the older man to take. James hesitantly shakes the welcoming gesture. He caught a small glimpse of ink under a bunch of arm bands around the British visitor’s wrist.
Another superpower. #746. This newcomer was probably the reason James was suddenly on Aleks’ porch. The transition was too quick. He probably had the power of teleportation, James thinks to himself.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” James says brightly. “I’m James.”
“So I’ve heard.” Dex answers, looking away from the man in front of him. He looks over at the confused stranger in front of him. His lips partially curl, almost exposing his hidden motive. “Want to join us? We were just chatting.”
Aleks was confused by the sudden invitation to James. He knew by the way Dex looked that something was about to happen. He follows along, but keeps to himself to watch over this situation. Goddammit, Dex.
“Thanks, but I got to get home. I got work tomorrow.” James waves Dex off. It wasn’t meant to be offensive, but Dex took it a different way.
“Please, come sit down.” Dex asks politely, watching James move to the seat next to him. James was absolutely confused. Why was his body moving on its own? He situates himself against the couch pillows and away from the British stranger. “So, tell me about yourself.”
“I’m 24, I work at Radio Shack, and I have the ability to fly.” James was stunned. Did he really just blurt that out on his own? What’s going on?
“Oh, I see.” Dex stands once more and looks over at James. “Stand up for me.” James complies with no hesitation. Aleks was watching from the side, believing that this was heading nowhere good.
“Dex, what do you think you’re doing?” Aleks asks angrily. It was bad enough to forcefully call his friend over, but using his power for anything else afterwards is a bit dangerous at this point. Especially since James was the victim.
“I just want to watch him dance.” As directed, James began dancing. He grabs Aleks by the arms and the two waltz around the living room. The black haired male leads the brunet with every step, gracefully entertaining Dex, who had burst into laughter. James looks apologetically into Aleks’ eyes and mouths the words ‘I have no idea what’s going on.’
Kevin, slightly amused, watches the two dance around the crowded living room. He stood in the kitchen and out their way. James has it lucky, compared to the treatment Aleks received years before. He remembered watching the words ‘stab yourself’ come out of the british teen’s mouth and witnessing the horror of a knife piercing into Aleks’ stomach by the brunet’s own hands. If it weren’t for Aleks’ unknown ability, he would’ve been standing at his best friend’s death scene.
“Dex, stop this right now.” Aleks warns. He knew at some point this was going to get out of hand.
“But I’m having fun watching.” Dex laughs as he sits back down onto the couch. “It seems like you guys don’t have much room to dance. How about this? James, take it into the air.” Without any hesitation, James lifts both him and Aleks into the air. They twirl around with James holding Aleks’ lower back, keeping him from falling out of his grasp.
The hold tightened. Aleks could feel anxiety build within James as the older male’s eyes were moving back and forth, worried for the two of them. Kevin began to feel uneasy. He watched from below as the two danced faster and faster. It felt like forever.
Just as Kevin was to walk over and demand Dex to stop, James’ power failed to keep up with the activity, just as he feared. The black haired male loses consciousness, his mind unable to sustain the strain Dex placed upon him. His grasp loosens, separating the two before they fell from the air. Kevin decided to take a huge risk and ran for Aleks, avoiding James and catching the smaller male before Aleks hit the ground. The two skid across the carpet to a stop just as James, neglected, fell straight onto the couch side table. The table was unharmed, but all items on top flew off. A small framed picture broke, shattering the glass in all directions underneath James.
Aleks shakes off the sudden drop. He was hovering a bit above ground within Kevin’s hold. “You okay?” Kevin mutters quietly. He grits his teeth as his eyes shifted between Aleks and Dex.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Aleks whispers before lifting himself onto his feet. He turns his attention to Dex who was surprised by the sudden turn of events. He quickly walks over to James and shakes him. “James, James!”
Said male’s eyes flutter open. He rubs the backside of his head as he sits up. “What happened?”
“James, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?” Aleks frantically asks. He looks around all the glass to see if any had scratched him upon impact. There seemed to be none. James' hoodie was thick enough protection. James shakes his head and looks around at all the damage. Aleks pulls James onto his feet and pats him down, free of any glass shards. “Go sit down for a bit. I need to talk to DEX for a while, in this OTHER ROOM.” He hisses for the British brat to follow. Dex innocently rolls his eyes as he walks into Aleks’ room.
James sat back onto the couch, slightly overhearing Aleks berating Dex in his room. He finally understood why Aleks didn’t want him around with Dex present. The man had a dangerous, sharp mouth.
Kevin once again watches James from the kitchen, leaning against the counter to support his sore legs. He didn’t trust James, but having Dex around made it worse. Aleks was almost hurt, and Kevin was deciding which guy he wanted to punish. Instead of making any movement, he observed James a bit longer. Dex can be yelled at later.
James felt bad. He didn’t purposely make the mess in the living room, of course. But he did feel partially responsible for the fact that his power was unstable. He wanted to at least help tidy up a little. James lifts himself from the couch and walks back to the scene of the accident. The action startled Kevin, his eyes narrowing. James kneels to the ground and began to pick up pieces of broken glass with his hands. He was careful not to scratch himself, thanking that the picture frame was small and didn’t shatter into a million little pieces. As James walks over to the kitchen to dispose the glass, Kevin moves out of the way. A small act of kindness wasn’t going to change his mind about James drastically.
James returns to the living room to pick up the rest of the picture frame and a few documents. He straightens the table and replaces everything back to the way it was. The frame falls apart as he puts it down; the picture slides out from its hold. James bends over and picks it up. His fingers lingered upon the image. It was a picture of Aleks when he was younger, standing next to a black haired male that he didn’t recognize.
Kevin remembers taking that picture. It was only shortly after Aleks found him in the back alley of a bar. He just finished tidying up and Aleks suggested taking a picture, much to Kevin’s disagreement.
James flips the picture around to see that there was something taped on the back. A folded piece of paper with printed words. He couldn’t make out the words, tempted to open it. The invisible male watching from behind was just as confused. It was the first time he had seen that paper. Was it important that Aleks hid it there?
Just as James was to pull the tape holding the paper together, Aleks walks out and spots the picture in James’ hand. He momentarily pauses in his step, eyes unwavering. He walks over and takes the picture from James, pretending to look deeply into the image. “I was a total dork when I was younger. Don’t you think?”
“I don’t think you’ve changed much since.” James jokes.
“Are you saying that I’m still a dork?”
“Possibly.” Aleks laughs at the response and stuffs the picture underneath a bunch of other documents on the side table.
“Look, I’m really sorry about Dex. I’m making him repent his actions in my room for the moment."
"It's alright. Are you hurt? I think I did just drop you several feet." James stares at Aleks, worried.
"No I'm fine. It's you I'm a little more worried about." Aleks gives James a small hug before leading him to the door. "I’ll walk you out.”
“T-thanks,” James smiles, unprepared for the hug. As the two walk towards the front door, James turns and asks Aleks the same question from the previous week. “So are we going to hang out anytime soon?”
“I’ll call you up later to let you know when I’m free. I owe you one.” Aleks replies quietly. “I’ve got Dex to deal with for another day or two though.”
“Alright.” James responds, slightly disappointed. “See you later then.”
“Yeah, dude.” Aleks closes the door and comes face to face with Kevin. “Jesus fucking Christ, Kevin. I thought we talked about appearing out of nowhere.”
“Aleks, what was taped behind that picture?” Kevin went straight to the point. His curiosity was biting him in the ass and he desperately wanted to know.
“It’s the one document that I never want to talk about.”
“The one that-“
“Yeah. That one.” Aleks looks down at his wrist. “The document that reminds me how much pain I had to withstand as the lone survivor of that fucking facility. The reminder that I am specimen #001.”
"James, when we told you we were branded by the government, I also told you not to go as soon as possible, correct?" Jordan joined the group at the round table. His pupils had contracted since his sincere meeting with Eddie. James nodded at the question. He and Ze traded hesitant glances. Of all the guys in the building, James and Steven were the only two guys without the wrist tattoos. All the rest of the guys were solemnly leaning back against their chairs, quiet. "Let me explain to you how we got these tattoos... and why."
"Over a decade ago, more than two hundred children were taken in for research done by a mysterious, powerful, and hidden company; they were funded by the government. This was shortly after the discovery of super powers. They chose to test children because there was more of a variety... and children didn't really have much of a say. There wasn't a choice. It was said that all two hundred children were branded, tattooed, and tested. And of the entire total, only one child survived the testing. He or she passed and lived. But the research was deemed insufficient. It was a failure.
"A few short months after, they collected another eight hundred children: the five of us included." All eyes shifted as Jordan mentions their contribution to the story. "We were around the ages of eight to fifteen. Many of us had heard rumors among the researchers that they were unsure if these new tests they were going to administer on us were stable or not. None of us had heard about the first two hundred.
"Eddie and I were chosen among many from the same area. We met on the bus and rode together all the way to the research facility. We became best buddies on that bus. But we were separated once we arrived."
"Hordan and I were actually tested down the hall from each other. We gave each other fist bumps the first month of testing... As a bit of support. At least that's how it felt for me." Eddie included. He giggles softly.
"Just as Eddie mentioned, the first month of testing was simple. We demonstrated our powers, performed tasks instructed to us. The researchers were nice, keeping our hopes us by telling us that we were doing great, that we might be able to leave within a month or two. Everyone's hopes were up."
"But they LIED." Nick interjected. His voice was low, full of anger.
"They began to pull tests on our insides," Jordan continued. "They took blood tests, ran syrums in our blood streams that had us screaming in our sleep." Dan gulps and instinctively look hold of his wrist. James noted that everyone had took hold do some kind of body part, tightly gripping, having difficulty breathing. "They wanted our DNA..."
"So what happened? Did they just let you guys leave after vigorous testing?" Ze quietly asks.
Jordan leans back into his chair, exhaling deeply. "No. They never planned to let us leave. We suffered for months, up to half a year I do believe. But one day, a kid with invisibility set us all free. He escaped his cell after tampering with the heat sensor setting on the cameras that were always watching us. That kid managed to destroy records upon records of information. He revealed to the rest of us what happened with the first two hundred children, warning us that this will become our fate if we stayed. So with his help, we caused an uprising.
"A lot of us escaped, only a few unlucky ones died, many recaptured. I heard that the kid with invisibility was one of them. But no one exactly knows... He disappeared.
"After leaving, the whole world heard about the experiments. Parents were outraged. Apparently they were tricked into thinking we went to special educations programs or some thing like that. An uproar followed and everyone gave superpowers more respect. But it was only for a short period of time.
"Those of us who survived went home and thought we could go back to the way we lived before all the experimentation. But a lot of us had nightmares. We couldn't forget. Dan and Seamus had to go to therapy for years..."
"I left therapy in high school. Seamus still visits the therapist from time to time actually." Dan comments. "I never really healed though." James could see the sadness in his eyes as he spoke.
"My most vivid memory was the god-damn tatttoos they inked on us." Spoon hissed as he revealed his number. #665. "So many fucking needles. I tried so hard to get rid of these things, it turns out they aren't even tattoos. I tried to get it removed and they couldn't even do that with laser surgery. A waste of my fucking time and money..." Spoon transitioned to grumbling and everyone stopped paying attention to him and his anger.
"Do you understand now, James? Ze? This is why we hide these dumb things." Jordan tugs at his sleeve. "It's a piece of our memories that we always want to lose, but can't."
There was a moment of silence. No eye contact was made. Pain could be felt without any physical contact throughout the room.
"Well, that helped me explain a bit..." Ze interrupted the silence. "My roommate has one of those tattoos. He's number 779." The other guys exchange looks.
"Do you know who owns 779?" Jordan asks Dan, hoping that Dan's incredible memory held such information. However, the tech-head shook his head.
"I don't think I ever met 'em" Dan looks over at Ze. His face was easily readable. So Ze answered the question he knew Dan wanted to ask.
"My roommate's name is Anthony. He has the power to harnass fire."
"He's your complete opposite!" James interjected excitedly, trying to bring up the mood. Ze laughs and nods a couple times.
"Exactly! He said the same thing!" Laughter was contagious, because all the guys in the room eventually began to smile. The mood was much more livelier. It was as if the past that haunted the guys was slightly lifted. Spoon passed out sandwiches after Dan retrieves Seamus from outside. Eddie demanded some introductions, blabbing how he felt like the stranger. Not before long, the guys began to exchange numbers, tell jokes, and share other parts of their history.
It was... refreshing.
---
It wasn't until eight in the evening did the group split from Jordan's shooting range. He complained to Nick that the careless officer had dented his precious floor. Of course, the shapeshifter waves him off with a pft and takes Steven home. Dan drove James back to his apartment, leaving Seamus and Eddie to take the taxi.
During their ride home, Seamus was silent. Eddie was worried. After the blond had left the room that afternoon, Seamus barely said a word to Eddie, let alone eye contact. He's angry, Eddie thought. What do I do?
The Latino had unintentionally moved in with Seamus. He spent almost every day and night with the blond after getting exposed head on a week ago. They played pranks on each other, getting closer and closer together. Eddie would hide things from Seamus a few milliseconds before the blond could grab objects he needed: for example, pants. Seamus would in return use his powers to levitate objects, throwing them at Eddie when he wasn't looking. Sometimes even lifted Eddie off the ground to catch him. It was an interesting connection. Seamus opened up to Eddie as they went.
But this new information dropped on Seamus was too much of a shock.
The only reason he didn't know Eddie had met Jordan years before was because the information was locked away in the time period that Seamus didn't want to pry. Because he had similar experiences in those research facilities that he didn't want to remember. And he knew that. But why did it hurt so much when he found out?
Seamus unlocks the door to their apartment once they were dropped off. He throws the keys onto the counter and walks straight towards his bedroom.
"Seamus.. Wait, I-"
"Stop." Seamus interrupted without turning around, "I couldn't stop reading your mind on the ride home. I know what you're going to say. Just... let me take a shower." Eddie shuts his mouth as the blond makes his way to his bedroom. Sometimes, Sly wished he could read Seamus' mind.
The speedy Latino waited out in the living room for Seamus to finish his shower. It felt like hours and Sly just couldn't sit still. About half an hour after he went in, Seamus walks out in only his boxers and a towel around his neck. He went for the fridge, feeling his throat was slightly parched. But before he could reach for the handle, he was tackled by Sly to the ground, his back against the wall and Eddie on his lap.
"Seamus, I'm so sorry. I really didn't know that you were friends with Hordan. If I knew, I would've told you. Honestly." Seamus could see worry pouring out of Eddie's eyes. Apologies flowing from his mind. Eddie holds Seamus tightly, hugging him close. Hesitantly, Seamus takes an arm and wraps it around Sly's back. He pats twice gently, before moving his hand in little circles.
"Eddie. It's alright. You didn't know, and I didn't try to find out. It's all even." Seamus waited for Eddie to calm down a bit. His whole body was shaking, as if terrified of losing the blond.
"When I was seven," Eddie whispers. "I met Jordan on the bus to the research facility. He and I hit it up quick. We talked about cars and pokemon. He even showed me how he could throw anything and it would hit any target. I showed him that I could run from the back of the bus to the front and take something from the driver.
"When we arrived at the facility, we got to hang out for several hours before they separated us into different wings of the building... I never saw him again, after that day. I know it's silly to say that I missed a guy I had only met for a day, but he meant something to me. He was a good friend, even for a few hours. And Seamus, I don't want to lose you. You're the first honest-to-god friend I've made since Jordan.
"After we were all released, I couldn't stop... torturing people. I pranked people all the time. It wasn't until you, the only person who stopped me, to open my eyes. I'm really thankful Seamus, I really am."
The blond didn't respond. He couldn't after getting a peek of the past. It made him tremble. But he held Eddie tighter than before.
