[LOUDHAZE RECOMMENDS]
Blood Sister - Dysphoria / Nothing (single)
Digital fuzzed-out goth pop from San Francisco, CA.
For fans of: Night Manager, Laurel Halo, Super Minotaur, The Soft Moon, Sister Crystals.
Listen to this if you're: into the idea of seedy, electronic dungeon disco, looking for pop that goes against the grain along with an "all black everything" aesthetic, a fan of 80s goth sound.
____
Blood Sister's use of synths is catchy yet unconventional. The very beginning of "Dysphoria" is pretty much like putting in a VHS tape into a VCR and waiting to adjust the tracking so you can get to watching your B Movie horror flick. "Nothing" is the closest you can get to what would be playing at a rave in a dance hall chamber.
If these peeps are reminding a few of you of a band called Night Manager, it totally makes sense because Ezana Edwards (guitarist) is part of Blood Sister (along with members of Ganglians).
If you're in/near the DFW area, catch Blood Sister for freaking FREE opening for Sunflower Bean at Sundown at Granada! FB event info here.
Released 2015 by Grabbing Clouds Records and Tapes.
