CURIOSITIES WITH SPOILERS
This game´s story was written by Yoichi Takahashi itself before World Youth was released (I don´t know how much he worked on the game really).
We can find resemblances between their two storylines. To tell a few: Tsubasa learns the Cyclone Shot in the game while in the series he learns the Sky Dive Shot, which is not really a shot but a long jump protecting the ball.
In the World Youth final, in the last two minutes of the second half Naturezza appears scoring with an amazing overhead kick from outside of the penalty area thanks to some sort of eclypse he does with the ball in between Wakabayashi and the sun, preventing Genzo to see ball´s efect. On the game Arthur Coimbra gets into the field in the second half and uses his Maha Shot (Mach Shot), which makes the ball dissappear from the keepers eyes.
